  • Opinions on FSU's German Program?

I am looking to transfer, my current University is having severe cut backs and can barely support their German program. I fear they will cut the major before I am finished so I am looking into FSU.

So what is your opinion about their program? Is it well put together? Is there good RECENT study material available int he library? Do they actually have tutors available through the school? Is the German club active? Anything else? Good with the bad, no program is perfect!

  • Types of carriages suitable for trail use?

I am looking to invest in an less expensive model of cart or carriage for a 14.2h stb. She is primarily driven on trails and occasional roads. Some of these trails can be rather deep, steep, have water, and be rather bouncy. What models and types to you recommend that are a good compromise on price and function? I want a good spring system for the horse and drivers. Needs to sit 2 at least.

  • where can I get free font creators?

I downloaded FontCreator and when through all the trouble of creating a front for a non Latin alphabet language for the person to use. Needless to say you can't save or use it, so i'll never buy the product for my own use. Is there any free ones I can use or trail and save? I'm unlikely to use the program much so I can't see paying $80 for it.

  • How much would it cost to add a spigot?

I am curious how much people have paid to get a spigot installed. It would be installed near the house, from the home's water source preferably. How much did it cost to have a professional do this for you? About how long did the job take?

  • Accounting question and taxes?

Recently I have come into some money. I would like to put it into an account where I can not access it for some time, 2-4 years. I have a plan for it, but prefer a majority of the fund stay in some type of closed account that has benefits (such as tax, interest, etc) and only keep a small sum available in my regular savings. What type of accounts are there that offer these things and what are their restrictions?

  • Which Photoshop is best for what I wish to do?

I have been considering buying Photoshop for some time now, but all reviews and ratings are all over the place and largely from people who do things I don't want to use the program for. Here is what I want to do:

    color in hand drawn art

Define and sharpen Hand drawn art

    Make realistic effects

    Crop photos

I will NOT be printing personal photos, uploading from cameras, or creating albums. I will not use online features.

I also have computers that sometimes struggle with huge tasks, but in general run pretty well and fast. They are basic dell models if that effects anything. Also some pricing info would be excellent for your recommended Models of Photoshop!

    thanks

  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm?

I have a very strong pulsing through my abdomen. The beat is constant, doesn't matter if i am sitting or standing, lying down, etc. it is always there. Occasional pain in the abdomen as well but this could be unrated, it is a sudden sharp or push, but again it could be something else. If it is a Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm there should be a sound along that artery right? I am use to listening to livestock medical uses through a stethoscope and I am wondering what specific sound I should look for? to determine if I should seek medical help for this constant pulsing? or is this just me? I have heard many mixed opinions about a 'heart beat in the stomach' and honestly I don't have access to doctor care easily. If i can rule it out myself via listening to it, I can literally save days of time and money. (yeah my doctors are that far away and yes I am really rural living.)

  • Best Camcorder for my lifestyle?

I am in the market for a camcorder. I has to be cheap since my budget for one is lacking (perferably no more than $150). But there is a twist. I need a camera that is can meet my demands in the horse world. It needs to be durable, be able to adjust to dim light, be very clear, have good charge and easy to use. Which models are best for this? I need to record horses in training, students, and horses for sale. And is there anything else I should consider?

    Thanks

  • Strange lump on underside of my arm?

There is a small, half penny sized lump on the underside of my left arm about 2 inches from my arm pit. The lump is greyish-brown in color, a little hard but not super hard. Skin can peel off it occasionally and it does bleed. It is not painful. It very suddenly appeared one day a discoloration of the skin and then the next rising to a lump. What on could it be? Yes, I will eventually go to a doctor but I live in rural no-where and until i'm over that way i can't spend $80 in gas just to go and rather have more than one thing to do to go that way. Is this really anything to be concerned about or just scaring of some sort? I am young, early 20's
