  • Is this too much odometer mileage for a automatic transmission fluid change?

2005 Suzuki Forenza sedan with 142890 on the odometer.

I don't remember if it has ever had the fluid changed. Its a sealed transmission since it doesn't have a dipstick.

Should it just be left alone?

  • In California, where is it legal to mount a dash cam on a vehicle?

I know it shouldnt block my view. Is behind the mirror ok? Behind mirror on windshield?

The dash cam is for driving safety purposes. Insurance & court defense.

Having it on the lower corner might have a wierd video angle.

Does the gps & smartphone mount laws apply to dash cams as well?

  • Why is Windows 10 so slow?

A few months ago I bought a new HP 15 Notebook at Walmart that came with Windows 10 pre-installed.

I turned off Cortana, but I think its still operating in the background. I also uninstalled unnecessary pre-installed apps.

Windows Update is slower than a Sloth. Avast says its out of date.

HP Support Assistant might also be a culprit.

  • What to do after Ingrown Toenail Removal surgery?

After suffering pain from an ingrown toenail for almost a year, I finally went to the podiatrist to get it removed. I thought Gold Bond foot cream would do the trick, boy was I wrong.

The podiatrist only told me to continue washing my feet with Epsom Salt & to come back in a week to see if its healing correctly.

Do I have to unwrap the bandage or the bandage stays on?

During the healing process, will there be pain?

Would it be a duplicated payment? This is for T-Mobile Family Plan, not prepaid.

  • Why is the PRNDL stuck? Could it be the Brake Light Switch again?

    2005 Suzuki Forenza sedan

4 Cylinder engine with Automatic Transmission

    145,000 miles in the odometer

Today I couldn't get out of parking because the gear was stuck. I had to turn off the vehicle & set & release the emergency to get it unstuck.

About 4 months ago I got the Brake Light Switch replaced because the taillights used to stay on after I released the brake pedal. I heard this could be related for stuck PRNDLs. Could it also be a faulty fuse?

When I step on the brake pedal, I hear a little bit of grinding coming from inside the pedal. How is it possible that pedal got worn out so soon?

Could this be an wheel alignment issue? There is a lot of potholes and uneven pavement in my city. They are on a budget, so the street repairs are slow.

  • Does California DMV offer 1-Day Operating Permits?

I am retiring my 2004 Mazda MPV thru BAR CAP.

Its just not worth repairing it anymore. Other than its 250,000 miles in its odometer, it needs a new oil pan, catalytic converters, & a new timing belt. The Check Engine Light also has burned out light bulb. I was able to temporary stop the oil leak & smoke under the hood with Barhdal Stop Smoke.

The problem is that the 60 day Temporary Operating Permit (TOP) from the DMV expired the same day the Vehicle Retirement was approved.

It says in the letter, that the vehicle cannot be towed to the scrap yard or else it will be rejected.

  • Are cable modems compatible with DSL Internet?

My Westell modem (I got from Verizon, now Frontier Communications) is about 13 years old. Age & internal heat have taken their toll on the modem.

Its also connected to a Belkin WiFi router. The router is about 6 years old. It might be time to replace it as well.

Cable & FIOS internet are just not on my budget.

  • Is a Heater Control Valve a dealership only part?

  • Why do my rear brake lights stay on?

    2005 Suzuki Forenza sedan

The center rear & side rear brake lights not the ABS or emergency brake on the dashboard.

I check the headlight control switch and it was off. I also removed the carpet mats.

They sometimes stay on when driving, which is what concerns me.

Did Suzuki ever did a recall for this? I know they did some headlights and airbags.

If I tap on the brake lights it sometimes turns them off.

  • What is Credit Karma?

Is it a real credit information website? Is it free or is there a fee? Can I use it if I recently looked at my annual credit report?

I am trying to verify a collection notice that was for hospital bills from back in 2011.

The hospital has a program for low income patients that cant pay their bills. Somehow, I feel they made a mistake or they went back on their word.

They collection notice & information on the credit report don't match.

Ive even checked my DMV record just to hope its not identity theft. Thank goodness my DMV information is correct.

  • Is it more cost effective to buy a new car?

I have a 2004 Mazda MPV LX minivan with over 230,000 miles. A few days ago smoke came out of the hood, but the coolant system was at normal temperature. It turns out there is a leak on the Oil Pan & the Timing Cover needs to be replaced.

The Timing Cover seems like those "Only at Dealership" parts, since they are not listed at Oreilly Auto Parts.

I check the OBD II emission system with my scan tool & its at yellow, but no codes.

The mechanic didn't knew the price of the part, but he said that the labor could take the entire day.

  • Will it help police if I send surveillance footage of a vehicle break in to the local television news?

Do police even allow sharing of footage?

This is the 3rd time someone tried to break in to my vehicle. One time the suspect actually managed to open it & stole my vehicle registration & insurance card.

  • How many Catalytic Converters does the 2006 Nissan Pathfinder have?

I have the P0430 code (Catalyst Below Threshold Bank 2).

I applied for financial assistance a few months ago. The state covered $500 of the repair. The repairs was the Catalytic Converter Bank 2 & EVAP canister.

The P0430 returned a few days after the repairs. At first they said it was the Oxygen Sensor, now they are saying its another Catalytic Converter.

  • What information does the California DMV Vehicle/Vessle Registration Record have?

I want to review my California DMV Driving Record, but on the form there is also an option to review the Vehicle/Vessel Registration Record.

What information does that have? Is it a good idea to review that one as well?
