  • The kitchen sink is clogged?

I am dog sitting for my friend for the week. Staying at her house. She told me that sometimes the left side of the sink will get clogged and just to run the garbage disposal until that side of the sink clears.

Well, today, that side was building up with water and so I turned on the disposal, and all the water from that side, came up into the other side. So i tried scooping water, really fast from the one side to the disposal side, but it was making no difference. I also tried plugging the other side so the water couldn't come up, but the pressure, pushed the plug (had to use a cup, because there was no actual plug for the sink) right out of the drain.

I don't want to call my friend and tell her there is an issue, if i can just fix it myself. I have debated using a mini sink plunger, or Drain-O. Both, I would have to go purchase.

  • My boyfriend is boring. What should I do?

I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years. I am 28. He is 26. I would like to go out and see shows and hear live music and just enjoy life more. He would rather sit at home and drink and play video games. He thinks that if he goes out, that I will be trying to change him. I think its good to be cultured.

There is a show tonight and my old friend from high school will be performing. My boyfriend is jealous because i used to have a crush on this guy. And when i saw him recently, I blushed. But its not like I'm going to try anything. I love my boyfriend and I respect my friend! I just would really like to support him and his band before they move to Oregon, from Michigan in a couple months.

When I asked my boyfriend if he wanted to go, he said no because he doesnt like my friend. He is being childish. I know for a fact that if i decide to go by myself, later, he will either ignore me or start a fight with me.

    What should I do?

  • What kinds of meals can I make that are simple and can be frozen and reheated later?

I am starting a new job this week, involving me cooking for a father and his son. I will prepare several meals for the week and freeze them so he can just warm them up as they are ready to eat them.

Can you give me any suggestions for simple meals.

I like to cook from scratch, hardly ever do I use prepackaged meals (i.e. hamburger helper)

And there is a peanut allergy.

    That's it!

    What have you got?

  • Don't have the money, don't know what to do?

My co-pay for the doctor is $25 and I don't really want to give them my money just to have them say, "You're hormonal, this too shall pass."

The story goes, about two weeks ago, going on three, i was really concerned that I might be pregnant, I mean I was two weeks late for my period. (which i now blame it on stress). THE DAY i went to the doctors to find out why my heart was fluttering so much and to take a pregnancy test, (i figured i could kill two birds with one stone) was the same day in which my period started and the doc said the test was negative.

So here I am, two weeks, going on three, and I am still bleeding!

Its light, spotty. I actually thought it was stopping after day 10, but then it started up again and the colors have varied. From red to brown and back again. I haven't had regular premenstral cramping, it has been sharp pains more to one side or the other of my pelvis, but not the muscle cramps associated with a period.

I just don't want to overreact and pay money to see the doc if its nothing.

Has anyone ever experienced this? And what do you think I should do?

  • I am terrified to sing in front of a crowd, how to calm down?

Its my friends bacholerette party and we are going to a karaoke bar and my friend expects me to sing because she wants to hear my voice. Now, i sound awesome in the car singing with the music, but when it comes to karaoke, its like i can't carry a tune to save my life. I can sing with the music and with other people, but I am also terrified of being up there alone. How do I get into that state of mind so I can sing a song by myself? (I realize that most people get buzzed and sing, which might work. But I have such a fear of standing up in front of people, that the buzz might make me vomit.) What should I do?

  • Two names sound similar, how do I keep from calling my boyfriend, my ex boyfriends name?

I dated my ex for 3.5 years and I was frusterated with him for most of that time. I have been with my current boyfriend for about 4 months. Sometimes when I am frusterated with my boyfriend, I almost call him by my ex's name. I catch myself before I actually say his name, but it came out once and he did a double take. I was so embarassed I covered my face with my hands. Their names are similar, the difference is one letter.

BUT, this is not the only time I do this to people. I have called my friends by my other friends names. I have even called my sister by my friends name.

How do i stop calling people by other peoples names? Especially, how do I stop calling my boyfriend by my ex's name?

  • Girls - Has your clitoris ever fallen asleep?

Occasionally (and by that I mean, not often), i will get a tingling feeling there (mostly when I have been sitting for little bit) and its so annoying, its hard to get up and walk when its asleep. It almost feels like when your leg falls asleep. That tingly feeling.

  • What kind of camera is best for taking detailed pictures of the moon?

I am becoming more interested in photography. I own a Canon Powershot A460, but i am thinking about investing in a Digital SLR camera. And this is simply because of the compliments on my creativity that i get with this little camera, I would find great pleasure in being able to photograph the moon and the night sky, if possible.

Does anyone know of what is the best camera for this type of photography? And where I can buy one? $1200 is my limit at this point.

    Thank you!

  • What is considered disrespectful?

My boyfriend thinks that when i hang out with people that he doesn't want me to hang out with, I am being disrespectful.

I don't understand why. I give him freedom to hang out with whomever he chooses, because I trust him. He told me he trusts me, he just doesn't trust other people.

  • I have a friend, but we don't really click?

This girl and I worked together for a little while. We went out with other co workers and hung out and stuff, but sometimes I feel like we didn't really click.

I am going to meet her later today at Panera. She sent me a message telling me that she was going to be in town, so we should get together. And so i agreed. But when i called her to set up a time to meet, it was sort of awkward and the phone conversation lasted like 3 mins or less. Now I don't want to go there and be all weird and have nothing to say because we don't really have a whole lot in common.

How should i approach this? Should I just stick to the weather and work related topics (because that is all we ever talk about?) or should this just be the last time I go out and be awkward around this person?

I really try to not make it awkward, but I just don't know what to say. We are sort of shy people, but I think we open up more around our closer friends.

  • What is considered fraud?

My mother just recently got on disability (I honestly think she just doesn't want to work anymore and this is the easy way out, she's only 46 and its a mental thing, but the state granted it to her, so i guess its serious enough) and she is trying to get full custody of my little sister. But in order for the state to allow her a two bedroom apartment, she has to have someone else sign a lease with her. So my mom then asked my other sister if she would sign the lease with her, and my sister asked if she would have to pay rent, and my mom said no because you won't be living here, the other bedroom is for Sydney. (my little sister)

Well, my mom has never been much of a responsible mother, and I was talking to my other sister and I mentioned, well, what if mom misses a payment or gets evicted, not only will it ruin your credit, but it will be fraud, because you aren't even living there. Is this accurate?

We live in Michigan if that helps any.

  • My boyfriend is jealous and insecure and it might be ruining our relationship?

Sometimes he will snoop through my phone to see who I've been calling or texting. Which is fine with me, I guess. I mean, I have nothing to hide, but it bothers me that he is just so insecure with himself and not trusting of me that he feels the need to do that.

So then after he looks through my phone, he doesn't say anything to me until a few days afterward, when it has had time to fester in his mind that because I texted "Will", that I might also be cheating on him with "Will". And he will have these bad dreams, these awful dreams that I am cheating on him. And after he wakes up, he will be angry towards me for something that he dreamed and never actually happened. Its like he's manifesting these thoughts in his dreams.

And after that is all said and done, he will ask me if everything is alright. Are we doing OK? And lastly, "who is 'Will'? ("Will is a co-worker and friend, nothing else.)

    It is very irritating.

I do not think he will cheat on me. I never have. He is the one who always thinks that I am going to cheat, or that I have because I am "just so beautiful". :-/

I have never had a bad dream about him cheating on me. In fact, he is rarely in my dreams, but when he is, its nothing bad.

How do I get my boyfriend of four years to trust me and understand that I am committed 100%, and that if he doesn't get control of himself and his insecurities, this relationship is going to fall to pieces??

    help...

I just heard it today. My boyfriend says it happens when the shocks or struts are working properly, but like i said, i have never heard it until today.

This is a pretty new car. I bought it in October of '08. Its a 2005 Pontiac G6. When i bought it, the salesman told me it had just had a brake job, but I just found out I need to replace the front rotors. What else could go wrong? Maybe i shouldn't ask myself that, knock on wood. I am planning on taking a thousand mile trip here in a couple weeks. Might have to get a rental... can't afford a rental.

Do you know, is this a crucial thing i should be worried about? Can i make the trip and then fix the issues when i come back? Help!

  • I'm going on a week long camping adventure in a couple of weeks. I need to know what to bring and expect?

I haven't ever gone on week long camping trips since I was little and I went with my parents.

We have the essentials, you know, tent, air mattress, clothes, food, dishes, ect. What else should i be absolutely sure to bring?

Also, we will be staying on the Missouri river in Huntsdale, MO. I was checking out some sites. And there is a possibility of flash floods due to summer heat (July) and thunderstorms. What can I do to protect myself from being washed away as i sleep?? Help!

Sorry for the wrong category, it wasn't getting any hits in Travel.

  • What religion am I? Is it considered middle of the road?

When someone is blasphemus against God, i get a little upset. For instance, people that claim the devil is their hero. I don't judge them because they have their own beliefs. But I think its a bit much to say that the devil is your hero. Knowing, what the devil is quite capable of. (I grew up in a very strict Catholic home)

But at the same time, I tell my family that I am agnostic. But i don't know if that is really the case. I might believe in God, but I am not sure. SO what religion does that make me?

I am pretty content on living my life the way I am. Not caring about a single religion. But so why do i sometimes feel like I should stick up for God, when I am not even believing in him, right now?
