  • Can you take out a Direct Plus loan if tuition is already covered?

My tuition is $14,000 for graduate school and I already got approved for $20,500. Before I knew I was receiving that much, I applied for the Direct Plus loan and was approved. Will I still get loan money if my cost of tuition is already covered? Or does it automatically cancel itself?

  • Is it wrong to date a guy who makes so much less than you?

I grew up in a nice town in Connecticut, went to a private school & university, and found a job right after college and I always dated guys from my college, all with well paying jobs, they've worked for ESPN or WWE, but they were lying, cheating, a**holes.

For the first time in my life, I have a great boyfriend, he's there whenever I need him & it's been the easiest and happiest 6 months. But he's a poor guy, from a bad part of Philadelphia, and just moved up here a year ago and lives with 11 people in a tiny apartment in New Haven where he sleeps on a couch.

I don't want to be shallow but it's so different dating someone who doesn't fit in with any of my friends or family. I've had to lie to some family and friends about his job, him not having a car, all sorts of things just because I know the comments they would make about him and also because he's a different race and I don't want them to just label him as a ghetto guy when he's so great and has so much wisdom.

My mom and best friends know the truth but sometimes they almost make it seem like it's a self esteem problem, that I'm dating so beneath me when I deserve someone who went to school and works hard. Or that I'm wasting money driving him everywhere, or if I help him with anything, but to me, I'm driving where I want to go & it's just nice to have someone with me all the time.

Is it okay to date someone so beneath you, if they are a good person? Or am I setting myself on later on where I will regret working so hard while I date someone who barely works. It's only been 6 months so it's still not that serious, I just want to get a better idea of the future. Is it okay for me to continue with him, because I am financially independent and I am fine with or without him, or do I need to date someone equal.

  • Is it normal to get bored in a relationship?

I was always heads over heels in love with my boyfriend, always happy, always excited for the future and now it's like a complete haul where I'm considering breaking up with him.

Nothing happened, no fights, no drama, I'm just bored.

I've tried to talk with him & say I need something more, more affection more flirting etc, but he just says he has been giving more and that's pretty much it.

I don't know if this is where it's time to compromise and just accept that this is what it is. Or if it's time to go separate ways because I'm not completely happy.

    Am I just being selfish?

It's just boring, every weekend it's us home, watching his choice of TV...we do frequently have dinner dates but that's it. I feel like I'm dying of boredom. I dunno if it's normal or time to move on

  • How long does love take?

I've been with my bf for 5 months and nothing, but he wants to move in together and always talks about the future but my point is, why move if he doesn't love me?

I'm 22 and he's 35 so I don't know if age difference is why he's not saying it or why I want to hear it. I finally said it on Christmas because I've honestly felt like he's the one the first week we dated, but he said "no you don't not yet you're just excited because the holiday".

Last week it came up again asking if he still loved his ex after 7 year relationship and he said the only person he loves is his son and himself.

Should I be upset that he still doesn't love me? And should I not move in until he does ? How much longer do I wait

  • Why does my car keep revving up while driving?

I have an Oldsmobile Alero I believe 1999, with 90,000 miles.

While driving it's started to rev up and then it will get stuck on two or three so even when I'm completely pressed down on the break it's still revved up to 2 or 3 and if I then put it in park it will even rev up to 3-6 while in park.

It's getting scary now in traffic because if there's a traffic jam and we move forward if i take my foot off the break it wants to speed up really fast and even going up a hill without touching the gas pedal it will increase in speed.

I've had it checked on twice and they aren't finding anything. & I'm worried if it's killing my engine or something by it's constant rev and if it it'll die on the highway in a traffic jam

Has this ever happened to anyone? They thought it was a cruise control issues and they disconnected it but the problem only seems to get worse

  • Resent boyfriends child?

I've been with my boyfriend for 2 years now and as bad as it sounds, I resent his son, I'm only 22 and he has a 15 year old son. I often get jealous thinking his son will have a child and my boyfriend will be a grandfather before the time I'm ready to have a child with him.

I don't know what to do because he's the best boyfriend I've ever had and on every level we connect, it's just age difference and his past that I can't get over even though I have my own past relationships etc.

I can't tell him about my resentment because it feels so wrong. Previous to this relationship, I had a miscarriage, and I never got over it, I desperately wanted to be a mother, so now it kills me living with someone who gets to celebrate holidays, birthdays, etc with his son, while I don't have a child. But, what can I do or say to fix it?

He does say he wants more children one day but I want to do things the traditional way and be married first and we're nowhere near there.

Will my resentment ever go away

  • Why are my credit cards being closed?

I'm freaking out because I just discovered that 3 credit cards were closed today.

I've never missed a payment or have been late and I'm always on top of everything and there was no suspcious recent transactions.

I used the card yesterday for Dunkin Donuts..$3..and today I went and it was declined. I tried CVS it was declined. I used a different Barclay card..it was declined too so I went online and say they closed my accounts and I tried to call but the said office hours were over until Monday for the department I needed to speak to.

Now I tried my People's United Bank card and it's been declined.

I'm just really concerned that it's two different companies that have closed accounts today, the only thing they have in common is they are all Mastercards.

Is there anyway for them to be reopened?

My credit score was 800 last I checked a few months ago

  • Really bad ankle pain?

Three days ago I woke up with such horrible pain in my ankle..like 9/10 pain and making it really hard to walk. I stayed in bed for a little while then ended up taking advil and throughout the day the pain went down to like 2/10 and I was able to do 8 hour shift on my feet no problem so I thought it was fine. But then it happened again yesterday and today where I wake up in unbearable pain. I bought a brace and I kept my foot raised I just don't understand how overnight it keeps getting worse.

I haven't had any recent injuries and I really don't wanna go to the doctors if I don't have to because I don't have health insurance, but how many days should I wait for it to get better?

  • Kitty has a little blood in litter box?

I have a 10 week old kitten the first few days she cried when popping and I saw a little blood in the box and poop

I added water to her food because reading online it said to try and now she doesn't cry when popping but I saw a few drops

Should I take her to the vet right away or wait to see it it stops?

I've only had her 4 days & I checked the poop it didn't look like any worms but I never seen poop with worms to judge

Should I be super worried or no because she stopped crying and it's less than before

  • Helping finding forensic journals?

    I have an assignment,

"Research a recent case that was discussed in a forensics journal. Talk about what happened at the crime scene and how the information gathered at the scene was used to advance the investigation. The case needs to be from a relevant journal and I do not want you to talk about the case just from reading the media coverage. How was the case unique? How was the evidence used in the investigation? Was it to identify a suspect that was previously unknown or was it to undermine an alibi given by a suspect?

The paper must be a minimum of four typed pages in Times New Roman size 12 font with one inch borders all around. It must be properly cited using APA format.

I have no idea how to find a recent case that's mentioned in an online journal

  • Restraining order question?

The man who got me pregnant told me he filed a restraining order and I don't know if he's lying or has enough proof.

I've never threatened him or anything of the sort & we don't even live in the same state. Every contact we had was about the baby & I never sent numerous things, it was always back and forth communication

this week he gave me his number and said call him & later he flipped out saying he's filing...and i did call to be like "are you serious??" but even then he stayed on the phone for an hour...and then yesterday texted me saying he went already and filed.

I'm worried because I'm graduating and going to grad school for criminal justice and I work in the judicial branch and I don't want any target on my back to get fired or lose future potential jobs

do you think a judge would file against someone who never threatened and lives in a different state? or will he just see the emails and phone calls and agree with the guy?

  • 6 month olds and being a nanny?

I have been a nanny/babysitter for years and I've never had a problem, kids always love me, even ones whose parents have warned me that they are very shy/are going through stranger anxiety phase, and within minutes they open up to me and it's fine from there on.

But 3 weeks ago I began a job with 6 month old twins.

I've had plenty of twin experiences at all ages and there's never been an issue before.

But for some reason I can't get the twins to be comfortable with me.

I'm extremely nice, playful, kind spoken, patient, gentle with them, and all the above.

There's another nanny who comes in around my school schedule and the babies are fine with her.

And it's just frustrating because she's extremely rough with them, yelling/screaming at them if they cry, disobeying all the mothers rules, not even paying attention to the babies when they are crying because she's busy texting, or checking her facebook, etc

I really want advice on how to get 6 month olds more comfortable with the me, because being a full-time college student it's also very difficult to find a full-time job that will go around my class schedule. And this one is right down the street and has opportunities until I graduate.

The babies are fine with me feeding and playing with them, but when it comes time to rocking them to sleep, or going on walk, they will cry nonstop.

The only difference between I can think of is that the other nanny is Indian and so are the babies, so I don't know if they are more comfortable with her because she talks more like the mother and looks more like them. But I've babysat children of other races and that's never been an issue before.

I don't know what the problem can be...

    Does anyone have advice?
