My ex partner suffers from depression, and it has really been a roller coaster ride these last 3 years, at first all seemed well and she seemed happy and would try in our relationship. Then the problems started, one minute she would be up and want babies, marriage even and a future with me. Then the next she would be down, and want nothing to do with me, be on her own and tell me she doesn't love me. The final straw came about a week or so ago. We had a really great weekend, she told me she had always loved me and I knew that deep down she always had, we were like teenagers walking in the park hand in hand. Then the next day she seemed really fed up, and on the Tuesday ended us with no real reason at all. Just said she was miserable, wanted to be on her own with her young daughter, that she wasn't really happy at the weekend at all, and that she didn't love me or want to be with me. I suspect that her depression is a lot more serious than the doctors have diagnosed, I live in hope that we can patch things up even though I have moved out. I love her so much and it's hard to let go because I know that when she is happy things are good and its worth a million to see her like that, but when she is down it is like walking on egg shells, or riding a big wave on the ocean. Any suggestions at all. I can't give her up, even though she has made me feel so low at times.

Unmarried mum with a 5 year old daughter, left hostile father 18 months ago never recieved a penny maintenance from him, although he will make a big effort at christmas and birthdays usually outdoing her. He has recenty lost his job so even less chance of getting anything from him. What could she do? What rights does he have? He owes her thousands from a loan he took out, she has already written that off, but must this go on? How hard could she be on him to make him see sense and provide for his daughter? Any answers on this much appreciated

I had been married almost 14 years have three lovely girls 12,5 and 4. Had an affair may last year broke it off, went back to wife, promised it was over, it started up again, never managed long without contact with other woman. I even moved out got a house and everything, but after 6 days went back to wife, again she took me back went 8 weeks without contact, then saw other woman on the bus and the feelings were still there. I know i have responsibility but everytime i tried to do what everyone around me said was best i couldn't do it. Finally after help from this site my wife made me leave, and I am now looking at staying away not just for her sanity but because of the love i have for other woman, but I now just want to stop being this hurtful bastard, be a good dad to my kids and get on with everyone. What i have done isn't physical torture it has been mental i know that, but I just wanted to ask what anyone who has been in my position did, I don't need abuse but deserve it i know.

I know someone who has started harming themselves (Deep scratching) and feels very low what should I do?

On discovering the scratching I was told to leave, but couldn't do that which then for a time made things worse, but I think I managed to talk things around. I am still here today, and things sem more calm, I am wondering if it was the alcohol that made things worse, it wasn't a large amount from what I saw evidence of but worrying all the same. Any advice please?

Children go missing, already our cats and dogs can have them, and there are also companies that use this type of thing to gain access into buildings, what does everyone think?

Do i just ring the newspapers at least they might put a better spin onto it, the problem is there is a woman up the road who always seems to circulate stuff about anyone she can. We have been mentioned just lately and I really think enough is enough. I do realise that some people have nothing better to do, and her reason for it is possibly because we worked her out ages ago as the local gossip monger.

Have you had similar experiences and what have you done to get your own back?

Are we all as one or seperate beings divided by where we were born, what religion we were brought up into, and what we are told to fear. Are we really any different on the inside?

Aren't we just a different Book cover reading from a slightly different manual?

Are we divided? Or is that what society wants us to believe so they can keep us in check?
