For example if I see a pretty girl at the grocery store or at Target how do I ask her out or approach her should i even attempt too? I am in my mid 20's and i always see pretty girls in public but never approach them of course if they turned my down i would just go on my day and not persist.

  • Should I complain to my boss about my co-worker?

I work in an office of 5 people which belongs to a bigger company of about 400 employees. In our office there are 3 office employees non managers and 2 managers the main manager and assistant manager.

Out of the regular office employees i am the one with most seniority, last November they hired this new guy. Since day one he has had attendance issues, he calls our at least once a week and even on days where he's scheduled to work at home, on top of that he asks stupid questions which he should know by now it doesn't seem like he has learned anything in 6 months.

My other co-worker is also getting super frustrated and we feel like baby sitters, how do I bring this up to my boss or should i even bring it up?

  • Should I tell my boss about my concerns?

I work in an office of 5 people, 1 manager, 1 assistant manager and 3 employees. Out of the 3 employees I am the one with the most seniority, last November a new person got hired, in his first week this new employee left early once and then called out the next week. Since his hire date this new employee literally calls out once a week, even when he is working he is no help and he still asks simple questions that he should already know over all he just has terrible work ethic and my co-worker and i feel like we have to babysit him. I am not the only one who feels this way so does my other co-worker, should I let my boss know about my concerns? and how do I go about bring up these issues?

  • Is this jacket too formal to wear as a blazer?

I work in an office where the men are supposed to wear, slacks and a collared dress shirt, ties are optional and so are suits and blazers. I saw this jacket and i was wondering is it too formal looking to be worn as a blazer?

  • How to answer this interview question?

So I am 23 years old and i am the Assistant Store Manager of a shoe store, i have been working there since January 1st, and i really need a new job. In my time there, I have seen 10 employees quit, because the store manager plays favorites, it condescending and has stabbed people in the back after lying to their face, she is also very emotional and sometimes our work getting done depends on what kind of mood she is in. I have been going in as early as 3am to unload freight, while she never comes in early than 9am, I have been worked to the bone basically and I've had enough.

I have 3 job interviews and a common question is, why do you want to leave your current job?

i can't exactly say the real reason, but what is are some good standard answers to that question

  • Do you talk to people from past work places?

I am 23 years old, and I've had a few different jobs and i have only kept in touch with like 3-4 people from past employers. I always hear the same thing, before i quit on on my last day people always says lets hang out or go get some beers later and it never happens, even if i make the effort they always seem to cancel or are busy, and i hate it when people B.S me.

A few people at my current work place got mad, because i said when i stopped working there i would probably never talk to them, or see them again. I wasn't trying to hurt peoples feelings, I was just being honest.

  • i am confused why I got turned down for this job?

So I am 23 years old, I have been working since i was 17, I was 4 Years of retail experience, from inventory to sales, and two years of Management experience. I was a department manager at one store and had a team of 5-10 employees, and now i am the Assistant Manager at a store of 15-20 employees.

I interviewed with the owner of a small business in town, who just started in November, and she needed a Customer Service Manager to help her out, i interviewed with her, and in my opinion the interview was pretty unprofessional, I mean her friend was sitting there doing her own thing while she interviewed me in the lobby, and i asked her a question like what her sales or revenue was, and she flat out told me she didn't know how to answer that.

Anyways a day later I got an email saying she decided to hire someone with less experience??? I have never heard of that one before, I mean is that really a valid reason in your opinion.

  • How to negotiate a salary?

So i am interviewing for a management position that pays between 48-50 thousand a year, and I have contact who are also long time managers in this work place that have negotiated a higher salary than the the normal is because they are desperate to hire people who will stay.

So for example how would I go about negotiating this salary, like for example if i was shooting for like 52,000 or more.

  • Do you think Starbucks Coffee sucks?

I don't particularly like Starbucks sometimes it's just the most convenient place to go, usually i only order a regular coffee or an Americano, but the taste is so god awful, its almost like they over roast their coffee and espresso beans or something.

I am no coffee snob, I actually prefer the instant coffee, but sometimes at work when my caffeine habit kicks in starbucks is the only thing within distance. Anyways what your opinion.

  • Am I a bad person for not caring about my dad?

I haven't seen my father in 2 years almost, I always hated him as a kid and as an adult I basically cut off contact with him. He was never a dad and he made my child hood hell, he never did anything for my mom, sister and I and he struggled so many times because of how selfish he was. Eventually for the best my parents got divorced and I just never was very fond of him. He has disappointed me in every walk of life adult and as a kid.

My older sister texted me today telling me they found out he has lung cancer, and to be honest I could not give less of a dam. I am a 23 year old guy and to be honest i don't feel one bit of sympathy for him.

  • Whats happens if you pay off a lease early?

So back in 2015 I was 22 years old and I leased a 2015 Hyundai Sonata for 3 years, the lease expires March 2018 and my sister co-signed because at the time i did not have a credit line big enough.

I currently have a 750 credit score and have two credit cards one with a 500 dollar limit and one with a 3,000 dollar limit, no late or delinquent payments ever. My question is what would happen if i paid off my lease early and opted to buy the car, and what if then i turned around and took the car and used it as a trade in for another car.

  • If you work for a company that goes bankrupt, do you get a severance package.?

So if you are a Salaried employee at a company do you get a severance package, is it up to the company or is there some kind of law stating that you are entitled a severance.

I have an interview with Sears for Assistant Store manager of their Home Improvement department, I used to work there 4 years ago but as a part time hourly associate, and although I know Sears isn't doing too good it would be a decent opportunity for me.

  • How do I actually ask a girl out?

I know it is a stupid question but how do you actually ask a girl out?, I am a 23 year old guy and i don't have a problem talking to girls or anything, but its actually closing the deal that I suck at, i have had girlfriends before but they are the ones tho i guess started it. i have missed out on so many chances with girls because i over think things or hesitate and so much times passes or I never see them again.

I learn better when i have examples, so if you could give me a scenario or example that would be great.

  • How do I ask this coworker for her phone number?

So I am 23 years old and the Assistant Manager in this shoe store, I am the only guy in a store full of girls mostly between 18-20 years old. There is this one girl in particular who i think is pretty cute, not just her looks but her personality, I joke around with her alot and to be honest I know it sounds lame at my age but i have a huge crush on her.

She is 20 years old, she is pretty inexperienced wise, because her family is pretty religious, she has only has one boyfriend which she got at 19 which she recently broke up with and i think she is still getting over him, and she is from a small town in the outskirts of town. She doesn't really know anybody in town, and she is here for school so everything is pretty new to her. So i guess my question is how do I approach this, I need some ideas and even tips. I know I am her boss but I don't plan on staying long and i am tired of missing ou on chances with women.

  • Should I tell my boss the real reason i am quitting?

So I am a 23 year old guy and i started my new job on June 1st of this year, as the Assistant Store Manager in a retail shoe store, i am the only guy in a store of 15-16 females. I have previous retail experience working in higher volume retailers, this store is only 3 million a year, other places i have worked have ranged from 20 million to 3 million in volume, also when i got hired the district manager sent me to a higher volume store to train for a week before I even set foot in my home store.

Long story short, the two stores and the two store managers are complete opposites. The store manager when I was training was very direct, efficient and ran a top notch store, in my home store the store manager is more about feelings rather than results, and numerous times she has stabbed employees in the back for her own benefit. in my short time there 5 people have quit 3 on the spot. my first 2 months i kept my mouth shut and listened to the store managers favorite employee who has been there 10 years, I made the mistake of speaking up and coming up with new ideas, and apparently I rubbed them the wrong way and apparently i was only hired on to play second fiddle to them, half the employees already said If i leave they have no reason to stick around.

So I have two job offers which i will decide on next week, but i am leaving already for a fact, should I tell my boss the real reason i am leaving or make up a fake B.S excuse.

  • How to follow up on a job application?

I am a 23 year old guy, and currently i am the assistant store manager in a shoe store and i am looking for another job outside of retail, I have been to plenty of interview since i started working and have had plenty of job offers, but i have never found the proper way to follow up on a job application.

I will sometimes call a place that I have applied only to be told that their main HR office in another state handles the application process, or the manager is always busy and i leave my name and phone number and never hear back. Most of the time when i follow up I never get any kind of useful interactions.
