  • What the heck IS this animal? It looks like a hammerhead worm...?

If you know what this thing is, I'd LOVE to know. It's one of the strangest creatures I've ever come across.

  • I'm trying to find a specific CD I used to own. Can you help me?

I've been Googling this for a while with no luck.

I used to own this great new age CD full of calming, peaceful music titled "Daydreams". I'd bought it at the LL Bean in Maine, it was on a CD rack with several others by the same artist. One of them might have been titled "Journey of the Spirit" or "Journey of the Soul" and another may have been "Flight of the Eagle" or something similar, but I can't confirm that one 100%.

So about 8 years ago, my CD collection was stolen. I wasn't familiar with the Internet, and LL Bean said it had been discontinued. I'd love to hunt it down on the Internet, but I can't remember much about it. If anyone has any information at all about it, it'd be a huge help! It used to help me sleep at night, and I could use some good nights of sleep in the next few weeks very much.

  • In Dreamweaver, is there a keystroke or a way to add a button for strikethrough?

I use Dreamweaver in a way that I need the <s> command constantly. As far as I can tell, the only ways to make that line appear through the text is by manually coding it in or my using the dropdown menu. Those are both really inconvenient. Is there any way to add a strikethrough button to a toolbar menu? Alternatively, is there a keystroke that could do it for me?

  • If you do, why do you refer to God as "He" or "She"?

Why, even in the Bible's old testament, is God referred to as "He"? How can a solitary, transcendental, omnipotent,, omnipresent apparently bodiless being- especially in the case of the Holy Spirit- have any gender at all? How do we know that He is a He?

In the case of Jesus, who existed as a he in human form, why would that mean Jesus male? If Jesus cannot be called human or mortal, than why would Jesus be defined by those temporary trappings of mortality?

    Why is Allah considered male?

Alternatively, if you refer to your Goddess as "She", the same would apply: why?

  • Which would more likely break when dropped: A full bottle or an empty one?

It seems to me that a full bottle would have more velocity than an empty one, but would the liquid also help absorb the shock and/or reinforce the bottle structurally?

  • Can you help me with my CSS for an ordered list?

I have two questions. This is the page:

    http://www.concretesealerandblanket.org/concrete-s...

    1. I'd like to make each item in the ordered list have some space between them.

    2. I'd like to move the indentation for each item in the ordered list more to the left. It's taking too much space as it is.

Can anyone help me? I'd very much appreciate it.

  • Would you share some ideas for picnic foods?

I'm going on a picnic to the beach with my girlfriend tomorrow and would like some ideas for picnic foods while we're there. Neither of us drink, and she needs fairly healthy foods, as she's on a diet. Do you have any good ideas?

  • Are atheists allowed to post in Religion and Spirituality?

It seems like there's a lot of hate towards atheists for posting in R&S, apparently coming from the fact that they "don't belong there". Now, I checked the TOS and the Help Forum on Yahoo! answers and I don't see anything about "LOL NO ATHEISTS ALLOWED IN RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY". 'course, I could be wrong.

If anyone has _any_ source from Yahoo that says atheists are not welcome in R&S I'd like to see it. Because, hey, why not just report them straight to the people in charge, right?

  • Can anyone think of one good use for the "scroll" key?

All over the world, millions of little yellow lights are lit up continuously while the keyboard is in use- all to let us know that the "SCROLL LOCK" key has been activated. I've been using computers for 15 years now, from Dos to Vista, and I've never seen a use for it once. What does it do? Why do we still have it? Why did we ever have it?

  • How can I get odors out of concrete?

I have a basement with several stains and odors in the concrete, including old mold, pet urine odors, and a spot where a rat died while I was on vacation and left a dark spot. I don't want to paint the basement and floor, but it's really ugly down there and I REALLY want to get the smells out. Does anyone have any good ideas for getting this stuff out?

  • WHOA HOLY CRAP DID YOU JUST SEE THAT THING?

OMG. It had wings, and it was, like, bright green only not, and just BAM! Right through my bedroom window and out into Mrs. Winslow's front lawn! My cat is freakin' out!

What the heck WAS that, anyways?

  • Is it practical to refinish a small section of floor in my rented house's kitchen, and if so, how do I do it?

I rented a house, and while most of the house is really nice, the kitchen floor's linoleum is really gross and beat up. I like my landlord, and he's been very flexible so far, even agreeing to buy a dehumidifier for the basement for me.

If replacing the floor is not very expensive, I wouldn't mind upgrading it myself- if nothing else for the learning experience. Does anyone know how much something like that would cost? I figure the area is about ten feet by 20 feet at the most, with a small 15 foot by 4 foot hallway as well.

If I was to do this, does anyone know how to get started, and which steps I'd need to take to get the job done.

  • The Religious and Boundaries?

I believe that non-religious people get so up in arms when religious people try to convert them because it's a violation of their personal boundaries. Remember- non-religious people value their beliefs and their selves just as much as religious people value theirs.

When religious people tell them to cast off that which they value and find important and take on the religious person's values instead, it's akin to telling the non-religious person that the religious one is superior and that they are wrong. Of course this causes hostility!

We all have boundaries- religious and otherwise, and when religious people disregard and/or disrespect the values of a non-religious person, they cross the line.

So I ask you all this: How can religious people speak with non-religious people without disrespecting or dismissing what is valuable to them without compromising what the religious person believes is valuable to them? Can a _mutually_ respectful conversation between a religious person and a non-religious person take place?

I've read that e-mail scams are the tenth largest industry in Nigeria. So people DO fall for this stuff. Is any government doing anything to stop Nigerian scams from continuing?
