  • Can you use a sealing grease with teflon tape on old plumbing?

I am trying to put a new galvanized nipple into an old, corroded galvanized tee. It is nearly inaccessible, and swapping out the old tee will be a huge mess I hope to avoid (concrete, tile, etc broken out and impossible to match). Should I use only teflon tape or teflon putty, or can I also use a grease. If I use grease , what type- I am inclined to white lithium based but don not know how it holds up in water pipes. There is no old styler pipe dope in the local market.

  • Upgrading RAM on a Toshiba Sat A105 S2021?

It came with 512MB DDR2, max expansion is 2 GB (manual). Can I add 1GB memory to the unused slot while leaving the original DDR2 in its slot and have 1.5 useful RAM? SOmeone who may know about it told me it is better to keep the slots symmetrical, using 2 of 512 . Or just use one slot with larger capacity. Does it make a difference if the 2 slots are used with different sized RAM?

  • Alcohol added to water- what type of change is it?

I need a source showing that diluting alcohol with water is not a chemical change, this for a test question with a block headed chem teacher my offspring is suffering this year. Or to prove me wrong, so I can aplogize to the putz. (It isn't even a physical change, the alcohol continues in the same liquid state). An Internet source would be better.

  • What is a reason life time for a DVD player?

We have used 2 SAnkey DVD players and both gave out after, at most, 150 uses , 3 movies a week for a year. This seems a short usefeful life time for the device. SO what is about average useful life timeeor are we just using a sh*tty brand. We keep them in the dark and use dust covers when not in use. ANything else we should do? Are there any useful optical cleanrers on the market ? We tried 2 and they made no difference. Both possible repair estimates made replacement more practicable.

  • How do I install a game so I don't have to use the CD or DVD to play it?

Other people have loaded it fine, but ours insists o the disc. Every game we load has this problem.

We're using Microsoft XP on a Toshiba satellite laptop.

Are there any settings we should change? We're just using the factory default settings so far.

I found the inventor of the USB flashdrive easily but can not find specifically the first recognized usb connector, instead I found lots of them. One must have been first. I would like to get the patent number too.

The error code says that the application won't run properly and to contact the original vendor to get a new .dlls. Is the .dll included on the restore disk or is it a separate built in memory somewhere else?

  • How can I completely delete two earlier AOL registrations?

I had to open new aol accounts because of problems with my hard drive. I want to start fresh with a new account but want to be rid of the old accounts. I am worried about having anti virus overlapping, almost all antivirus programs warn that you should never have 2 or more at once.
