  • What is the best route for an interest earning savings account?

I am just starting to learn about interest savings accounts, stocks, bonds, money market deposits, time deposits, etc. and would like to get in on the action.

I work a minimum wage part time summer job. so, i don't have much (if there is a minimum deposit i might not make the mark) and there are so many different options i'm a bit lost on where to begin.

what would be my best option if i wanted to

A.) start an account with whatever i can at the moment (approx. $500) and let it sit there collecting for a long time, (say, around 20 years or so) where im still able to deposit money into it throughout the years when i have extra to save. maybe something that will restrict me from withdrawing?

B.) basically start off the same way but with a much shorter time span (say, a year?) something that if i put away money today, i can get it all back plus the accumulated interest all at once like one big paycheck?

  • putting an end to split ends?

a few years ago, a friend of mine told me that if you run a scissor blade down your hair (much like you would to curl a ribbon) it will rid your hair of split ends. i have tried this a couple times resulting in what seems to be dead follicles, resembling dust, as well as a few end-strands of hair collected on the scissor blade.

does anyone know if those 'dust' follicles are actually the successful removal of split ends. or, am i just shaving and thinning my hair? is this damaging?

  • hair strands in butt?

this will probably end up on yahoo answers fails..but here goes

i have long black hair (on my head)

almost every time i get out of the shower, there is one strand of my hair that gets partially "sucked" into by butt hole. i guess from washing my hair, some strands fall out and was down my back, and then when i bend over to shave my legs, a hair washes over my butt, then when i stand back up again, the strand somehow gets pushed somewhat into the hole..

i can usually pull it out, its kinda uncomfortable..

anyway i know its super awkward but i cant help but wandering if this has happened to anyone else.

  • a good thesis statement for the topic of A.D.H.D. medication?

im doing an argumentative research paper on diagnosing and medicating children with A.D.H.D.

i have the entire paper done. from view point A: too many children are loosely being diagnosed and the drugs are harmful, to B: ADHD is a serious problem and the medication does a great good.

but for some reason (and i do feel like a bimbo for this) i can not come up with an attention getting thesis statement.

    any suggestions?

  • question about tanning salons?

okay. so i got a one month free membership at a tanning salon close to where i live. its for level one beds only.

this is my second day and my face and upper chest are starting to turn a little red. but there is no pain, flaking, or anything. the rest of my body seems to be VERY GRADUALLY tanning.

my question is: since its not painful redness, should i keep going every day and let it just fade into a tan? or do you think that if i keep going every day it will turn into a painful burn?

  • how to talk to my mom about a controversial problem?

okay. so i wouldn't call my mom an alcoholic, but she usually has between 1-2 glasses of wine a day. that's not a big deal (right?). except that shes on a certain type of medicine (its not a temporary medicine, shes been taking it for about two years now, don't really know what it is) that when she drinks more than half a glass I've noticed that she becomes very irritable, short tempered, and moody.

i once tried to bring this up with her and she got very defensive. because "im so over reacting, shes only had a glass of wine at lunch, one when she got home and a shot of tequila".so im a little afraid to bring it up again.

its not like shes unbearable or anything, but for some reason, her glass(es) of wine a day is really starting to bother me.

should i just let it go? am i really overreacting here? or should i do something about it? any ideas how?

so ive started to go to the gym. i run about 3-5 miles each time i go and i go to the gym about 2-4 times a week. if i lose a pound a week, how long should it take to lose an inch around my waist, hip, and gut-area?

  • opinion poll: the best friend or the prince charming.?

the best friend whom you have everything in common with and fit right into their family, but isnt exactly the dream boyfriend. you know there might not be a stable living enviorment for the two of you (his job dosent sound that promising) but you two are like two peas in a pod.

or the prince charming who comes from a nice family you feel like you always have to be proper around. he sometimes nit picks when he argues but you know you will have a stable living enviorment with him,

  • how to calculate the angles of a triangle from the sides?

    okay,

so i remember learning a way to find the inner angles for a triangle in geometry, from only the side lengths. only problem is, ive forgotten how to do it.

i think i remember that there's somehow a relationship between an angle and the side opposite to it, but i cant be sure.

anyway, if anyone knows what im talking about, would you please help me out and remind me the rule.

it would be very much appreciated.
