What is the purpose of this right angle slant in this room?
It's the top left room of the first picture. The slant it top left corner of the second picture.
I don't understand why there is a slant (right angle triangle) in the 2nd picture, couldn't you just have nothing there? Why is it there?
I've been trying to visualise it as a slant of the roof, but the slant is in the wrong direction to the slant of the roof it seems. To the left of the 2nd picture you see the front window.

Its the top left room. The right angle slant is in top left corner of 2nd pic.
I don't think the bed is facing the front window.
I don't understand why the architecture would require a right angle slant
3 AnswersEngineering4 weeks agoWhat do I say to a 6 year old that is cheating at board games?
I notice it but I am very unsure with what to say about it, these aren't my kids I babysit them. I feel she would lie saying she didn't cheat it I called it out.
I usually pretend i didn't notice as i am unsure with how to manage that situation; I am not good with kids. I feel that I need something to say to them when I notice the cheating happens.

1 AnswerPersonal Finance2 months agoWhat does this paragraph mean?
Type D personality is an established independent risk marker in patients with CHD, prospectively associated with worse clinical and patient-reported outcomes, although substantial heterogeneity exists between studies. Research findings have attributed large parts of this heterogeneity to the disease stage, specificity of the outcome measure, and sample age. It is important to consider the mechanistic pathways through which a risk factor is likely to exert its effect when choosing endpoints. Otherwise, it might erroneously dilute the importance of the risk factor.

4 AnswersBooks & Authors3 years agoCan someone help me understand this please...?
The covariation model aims to express the reasoning process that we use to identify whether the cause of behaviour is due to internal or the situation (external reasons). It also provides a third possible attribution; the specific circumstance a person finds themselves in.
How is 'specific circumstances a person finds themselves in' different to external reasons??? What is meant by that???

participants became less certain of their attitudes after resisting a message
this was especially the case when participants believed they had based their attitudes on the source of the massage as opposed to the arguments within the message.
this effect was shown to have implications for persuasion in response to a second message
:I don't know what is meant by, 'based their attitudes on the source of the massage as opposed to the arguments within the message.': What does this mean????
Thanks
2 AnswersPsychology4 years agoWhat channel is UFC on for Sky (UK)?
Will the Mayweather fight be on sky? I'm guessing it's probably PPV?
Also, who do you want to win. Connor or Floyd? I like both, but I like UFC more so am leaning towards Connor.
2 AnswersBoxing4 years agoMy parents used my name to apply for Sky internet. Can this harm me?
The are using their own bank. They just had sky before but they got into debt with it so used my name behind my back.
They said they didn't use my date of birth but I don't know if they were lying. I am worried about credit scores and things. If they don't pay Sky I don't want to be left with the debt. I asked them to take it out my name but they refused to. I am really scared. I can't do anything otherwise they will kick me out. I don't know what to do. They say they will change my name after it's installed but I don't trust them. Am I just overreacting?
I might want Sky for myself one day. I don't want them to use my name.
What should I do. I feel worthless and taken advantage of.
What should I do? When I say it's not fair they say, "life's not fair" and I get very angry. I feel so trapped.
Credit4 years agoKing Lear quote, "Edgar I nothing am" why is this quote famous?
Edgar says this because Gloucesters knights are looking for him so he disguises himself as Poor Tom.
I know that the word "nothing" is repeated throught the play, but what is it's significance when it comes to looking at this quote?
At the start of the play, Lear says to one of his daughters something along the lines of, "nothing shall come of nothing". In other words, if you offer nothing, you will gain nothing". How does this link with Edgar's quote?
Thank you
1 AnswerBooks & Authors4 years agoDoes social class have an influence on religious belief?
Sources?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 years agoWhy is there a bandwagon of religious hate?
It seems to me that people have no tolerance of alternative beliefs, views, opinions and perspectives anymore.
Why do people care if you're religious or not? Religion doesn't do any harm, it has taught good morals and provides peolple with a way to cope with the pains of life. The bad things people say religion has caused have only been caused by a *radical* interpretation of religion eg: Taliban and KKK. The average religious old lady living down the road who doesn't do any harm isn't a prevelant problem. I live in London and there is a mix of people from different ethnic groups, religions and social classes and no one imposes their beliefs onto anyone. The only people that do, are the Athesists. Do you seriously think that by calling religious people uneducated and stupid that it will change their mindset? Why do you care about the other persons mindset if you are so sure that your mindset is correct; why do you value what they think more than what you think?
People ignore the positives of religion. It had a huge influence on Renaissance art, something many people ignore.
I'm not religious myself, but I (unlike most people) have tollerance.
