Is this worth going to talk to someone about?
I really don't know whats wrong with me atm:
i feel tired all the time, am finding it really difficult to concentrate particularly with school, which is annoying because I'm in my final year of A levels, keep crying all the time, keep worrying that everyone's getting annoyed or bored of me and am so irrationally worried about my new boyfriend getting bored of me or deciding he doesn't like me anymore, I can't even feel happy about my relationship
Maybe I'm just stressed due to school, but no one else in my year seems to be getting this bad, would it be a waste of the docs time if i went to see them about this?
1 AnswerMental Health9 years agohow do i get to this career?
I would love to one day run my own salon in hairdressing and beauty or become freelance in this area.
I am in my final year of A levels doing history psychology and economics and am expected to get 3 As, but i'm really not 100% sure about going to university (i'm taking a gap year)
If i did go to university I would study business and management.
whilst on my gap year, are there any courses or anything that i should look at? i really don't know how i'd go about one day starting up my own salon, and whether uni would be worth it if that's what i want to do?
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)9 years agoDoes he really like me, or just miss having a girlfriend?
Me and my current boyfriend have only just got back together (we have a lot of history spanning over about 6 years, its never really worked out properly cos of distance but now we're both a bit older its easier to travel. I'm 18 and he's 21) but i'm already having concerns.
I'm worried that he just misses having a girlfriend, and that he just sees me as a fallback option.
before we got together he was saying how he needed to get himself a mrs cos he hates being single and today he mentioned that he's missed having lazy days cuddled up to someone with a dvd on
I know its not much and i might just be reading too much into it but i can't help wonder
I dont want to get too attached incase my worries turn out right, i know i like him, i'm just scared to let myself fall for him again
1 AnswerSingles & Dating9 years agohow long before diet results?
I am 17, 122lbs, 5"1 and apart from going to the gym my lifestyle it pretty sedentary since i'm sat at a desk at school or sat in a lifeguard chair at work
I'm on a diet of about 1250-1400 cals a day
monday: 40 mins cardio (20 mins jogging, 5 mins walking 20 mins jogging)
tuesday: rest, but normally do about an hour slow place walking (i get bored at work and strole around the pool to keep myself from falling asleep haha)
Wednesday: 30-45 mins swimming training
Thursday: rest, normally about an hour slow walking
friday: weights/resistance about 20-30 mins
saturday: 40 mins cardio (20 mins jogging, 5 mins walking 20 mins jogging)
sunday: rest or weights/resistance depending on how tired i feel
Is this a good routine? roughly how long do you think before i start to notice myself slimming down? i know its different for everyone, i read about 12 weeks somewhere?
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness10 years agowhat can i do about my massive thighs?
I'm 5"2 and about 120lbs, this time last year i was 132 lbs and i just found some measurements i took last year and i realised that i have lost absolutely no inches off my thighs
they are 22 inches and whenever i see pics of them they just seem bulky and gross
in your opinion, is 22inch thighs big? or is it just that im short that makes them seem so bulky?
how could i go about trying to make my thighs smaller? i know i cant spot reduce
(other measurements:
bust 37
waist 27
hips 38)

9 AnswersFashion & Accessories10 years agoIs the CIMA degree good?
I'm not 100% sure i want to go to university, if i do i will be applying for business and management courses.
I've seen this qualification but can't find too much about it on google. Is this only for if you want to become an accountant?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)10 years agoMuscle breakdown after 20 mins exercise?
I've heard that if you do cardio exercise for more than 20 mins, the body begins to break down muscle, i always generally assumed this applied to more things like running, treadmill, cross trainer, cylcling etc so does it apply to swimming as well?
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness10 years agoStill don't know what course to apply for? HELP?
Have written a personal statement and have had loads of help on it from teachers etc for applying for psychology, but have recently realised that most of the careers that i'm interested in after uni, are more business and management related, so it would make more sense to apply for business and management courses.
Should I rewrite my personal statement and change my plans for uni applications?
I'd feel bad for getting my psychology teachers to help so much then just changing my mind. I have untill october.
Could i go into HR/conference center management/events management with a psychology degree?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)10 years agoManagement career, psychology degree?
Okay, so lately i've realised i think I'd want to pursue a career in management, possibly events management or something like conference center management but i've already written my personal statement and everything for studying psychology at uni
I am taking a gap year, just to make sure going to uni is what i want, so could possibly try and find some work experience or maybe go to a college for a course or something?
basically, how easy would it be to go into business/management with a psychology degree? or should i try and re-do my personal statement for business and management courses?
i'm just about to start my A2 year, and UCAS applications need to be in around mid-october
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)10 years agoHow do i say no? he only wants one thing?
There's this guy who only wants one thing from me. He is very persistant and i find it hard to say no, especially when i do actually have feelings for him.
how do i say no, when i've already given in so many times. I'm worried that now when i say no, he won't take it seriously and will think that if he starts to persist again i'll give in again because a few times i've said no, and then he'll be like "why not? oww please? don't you wanna? it was fun last time" etc and eventually i'm like f.k it and give into him so now he won't take it seriously.
How do i say no in a way that he will know that i don't want to be used and how should i go about changing from going along with it to suddenly saying no? any tips on how to not give in when he pesters?
5 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agodo i play the player or move on?
This guy has been playing me for a while and i am totally angry and life right now.
i thought we'd had a mutual interest for about the last year with this guy from work, then he started dating this girl about 5 months ago, but claimed that he'd liked us about the same, then still acted like he was interested in me and everything's just gotten rather complicated.
In short, i think he's now trying to get revenge on his gf whose cheated on him and apparently has 2 friends with benefits (whether he just said this to persuade me i dunoo) by asking me to be his "friend with benefits"
about a month ago we slept together and i told him i felt it was a mistake and i was hurting about him having a gf and that it wasnt right but somehow i've ended up being manipulated back into this situation
now do i try and tell him to leave me alone again or do i play along with it for a bit and try and play him back before moving onto someone else and telling him i'm seeing someone etc
(last time i tried to put an end to this i started looking for other guys and have found a couple of people that seem interested in dating me so probably could do this if it started to work out with one of those guys)
5 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoDo guys get attached?
I've know this guy from my work nearly a year and we get on really well, i'm pretty sure he fancied me most the time we've been working together.
Lately things have got very mixed up - and i know what i've done has been wrong...
He has had a girlfriend for nearly 5 months now (i think) and it hurts a lot - especially as the whole time he's still acted into me and has said that he really liked me and all and whenever i've confronted him about the acting like he's into me thing, he's said something like "i do it cos i did really like you" and said that he liked me and her about the same before him and her started going out (not sure whether to believe this).
About a month ago we ended up sleeping together but then he got all distant and then we kinda agreed it shouldn't happen again
then at work today he strongly suggested that he wanted to do it again and said how his gf had cheated on him and has "two friends with benefits" and was like "owww why cant we be friends with benefits again?" and stuff.
I have a very hard time saying no to people who persist and ended up giving him a b.j... i know i shouldn't have but like i said, i find it hard to say no, especially when people are persistent and i really like them so am planning on telling him that what happened at work today shouldn't happened next time i see him and if he asks why i'll tell him that i'll get attached and would start wanting a boyfriend, not just a quickie every now and then. (good idea?)
I know fwb only really works when you're not attached so i know me and him could never really be friends with benefits when i'm already attached to him, but what is the likelihood that he'll ever be as attached to me as i am to him?
I'm unsure because i guess i've been pretty "easy" or whatever and he has a girlfriend but then again, we have been good friends for a year and his gf has cheated on him? or does he just wanna get her back?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating10 years agois it possible to do a good job on your first time?
I lost my virginity today. It was kinda awkward. I dry humped him a bit before and he commented "wow, you're good" but think he was just sating that. then gave him a blower and he commented "try not to make me come too quick" but then when he went to go in me, we had a lot of trouble gettin it in (i think cos i'm rather tight... what with the whole virgin thing.
at one point his penis started to actually go down cos we spent ages tryin to get it in. Then when we were doing it he kept sliding out.
we actually gave up on the condom cos it kept sliding off (he put one on after he came the first time to try and slow down but that's ok i'm on the pill! )
However, he did come pretty quick after he first managed to get in me and then came again when i gave him a blower later.
Do you reckon he thought it was as awkward as i did? i'm worried i was awful and that he felt like he was trying to bang a cement wall. and do you reckon he'll ever actually wanna do it with me again? :|
btw we were not exactly in a bedroom so had to keep it quiet so there weren't many noises to be able to tell how much he was enjoyin it apart from a lot of heavy breathing
1 AnswerSingles & Dating10 years agodo i say i'm a virgin?
Ok i'll try and keep it short...
me and this guy (have known and flirted with each other for like a year)started dirty texting/picture messaging each other recently. we're gonna meet on friday. Not sure if we actually will have sex or just fool around and stuff. we're not in a relationship or whatever just having fun pretty much (and i'm actually cool with that)
I'm 17. have pretty much felt ready to loose it since i was about 14 just has never actually happened for various resons (e.g with the last guy people walked in or other e.gs... when we've met been on my period or the appropriate time at a friends never came up etc). I've done other stuff with guys like foreplay things and like "dry humping" - same movement, right? pretty sure my hymen is broken already so no danger or bleeding and stuff.
do i tell him before friday? if so how soon? or should i just go for it? cos if i tell him it might make him think i wanna get all serious when i don't but i don't want him to expect me to be good and get disappointed?
Oh and ages ago we were talkin about losing virginity and i think about twice in the last year i've ended up saying that i'd never had sex (these 2 occasions were about 3 months apart) and both times he pretty much said "ohh! what?? i thought you had haha. oh well that's fair enough i wish i'd lost mine later"
yeh i know its a little bit sl*aggy....
4 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoIs he keeping his options open?
He's acted like he likes me since about october but i wasnt interested in him till about jan but in short he now has a girlfriend and has for the last 3/4 months. Yet he still acts the same with me? I'm pretty sure its not just being friendly :s (like, sexual jokes/hugging/messing up my hair/throwing things at me/wiping his hands on my face - we work at a pool lol)
so why is he still acting like this? keeping his options open?
I'd really find it a lot easier to move on if i knew why/he wasn't so flirty!
6 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoNever had a guy not like before?
Sounds arrogant, i know but every time i've really liked a guy, not just had a bit of a thing for but had strong feelings for, they have always liked me too.
So i like this guy, and he seemed interested and when i said i liked him he said he liked me too and etc. But, it turned out he liked me and this other girl and in short, he's now going out with the other girl and has been for about the last 3 months.
I'm not gonna go about trying to "steal" him or whatever, he seems genuinely happy with the other girl. The thing is, he's kinda flirty with me - or maybe it's him being friendly. I'm not sure...
I just can't seem to get over him and see him every week at work. I really don't know what to do.
I'm like 17 (i know i'm young) and feel like i've lost my mojo or something and just have never been in this situation before so don't know how i'm supposed to go about getting over it all :/

2 AnswersHistory10 years agoAs economics paper marking?
Had my macroeconomics paper today and I've just realised that throughout the whole paper i think i wrote my lefts and rights the wrong way round (i.e writing AD curve will shift left instead of shift right)
Whenever I talked about shifts in the curves I would normally have a diagram showing clearly the direction of the shift - but just got my lefts and rights mixed up. Am an dyslexic and have extra time - do you reckon that would be taken into account?
How many marks have a lost? :(
1 AnswerEconomics1 decade agoHappiness or good grades?
I very strongly dislike my school and a lot of the people in it and am miserable a lot of the time. It has gotten to the stage where I have little confidence, few friends and feel the need to isolate myself in the study area. I also often feel that the easiest thing to do would be to get out. make new friends and have a fresh start. I already know and get along with a lot of people at the school I would move to.
However, the school does push you a lot and I know I would get good grades at my current school and a lot of the people at the school I would move to are very unmotivated and say they are often poorly taught
Happiness and a social life or good grades and academic success?
