I like cheese ravioli, autumn, hair curlers, my music, obscure books, dancing, dipping my fries in my shake, clouds, travel magazines, buying PJ's many sizes too big, ice cubes, horror movies, the cold side of the pillow, thick earthy grass, having cold toes, doing the moonwalk around my house when i'm alone to loud music, flirting with the pizza guy, feeling the hair on the back of my neck when it's cold, being part of the bigger picture, writing corny things on websites where no-one knows me anyway :)

  • Math (A Level): Sequences Help?

    Questions 9 and 10 refer to the arithmetic sequence 85, 82, 79, …

    9) The 10th term of the sequence is

    (a) 112

    (b) 55

    (c) 115

    (d) 58

    (e) I don’t know

    10) The number of positive terms in the sequence is

    (a) 27

    (b) 28

    (c) 29

    (d) 26

    (e) I don’t know

I've worked out number 9 as being d.) 58, but I can't work out number 10, it feels like there isn't enough information (like the number of terms in the sequence or the last term). Any help would be so appreciated, if someone could explain how they got an answer :)

  • Why is the melting point of Aluminium lower than you might expect?

Why is the melting point of Aluminium lower than you might expect, considering its boiling point, and the trends of other period 3 metals? For example, the melting point of Aluminium is 933.52 K and the melting point of Magnesium is 923.15 K , but then the boiling point of Aluminium is 2740.15 K compared to the boiling point of Magnesium which is only 1380.15 K. Thank you for any help, xx

  • Places to visit before you die?

Out of curiosity... Does anyone have certain places that they wish to visit before they die? I've compiled a list of about 60, or just over, and was wondering where, if anywhere, you wanted to visit before you pop your clogs, so to speak?

  • Short Break in the UK?

We're intending to go for a 3-day short break somewhere in the uk. We're looking for an area past nottingham but no further north than the lake district due to travel times. As we're going with my grandmother, ideally, we are not looking for a city break, so smaller villages, towns or even the more family-friendly cities such as cambridge are welcome. We hope to find somewhere that has easy access to places of interest or things to do to fill our time. Really, we are focusing our search on yorkshire, derbyshire, etc. If anyone has any ideas or personal experiences on places that they enjoyed visiting, all and any ideas will be welcomed. Thankyou.

  • A little help with A level choices?

Basically, I'm stuck as hell with A level choices. The expectation is that i choose 4 A level's in the very near future. Anything would help me, from what a levels you took, how hard you found them, the grade you got, whether you enjoyed them, or why you didnt, or what you wish you had done. I'm predicted all A*'s for GCSE and i'm cosidering:

    Maths

    Biology

    Chemistry

    English Literature

    Pyschology

    History

    Physics

Any recommendations for any of the above, or even any warnings would be appreciated, but i'm open-minded and any A level ideas, information or wisdom would be much appreicated. Thanks in advance, i sure need as much help with this as possible.

  • What Foods Would You Consider Unacceptable To eat?

For Example, personally i would not eat horse, dog, cat etc. I am researching different views to animal rights for an english project and thought this would be an unusual angle, so it would be really helpful if you could just mention any animals that you yourself would not be prepared to eat and the reasons why, e.g : killed in a cruel way, against you culture, society has conditioned you not too, or any other reasons, the more specific the reasons are to the animal, the more it would really help me. thanks in advance, :)
