I'm 23 and parks don't work, my job doesn't work, dating apps don't work, nothing works. I don't understand it. I've been at this for not just months, but years.

I'm a 23 year old male, I work at target, all the girls there seem so shallow, tried eharmony and not getting anything... covid makes things more difficult... church has no one my age, everyone is mostly older than more or infants. :O
4 AnswersSingles & Dating8 months agoI want to know the precise literary term used in such a sentence as: "It is impossible for me to describe how the storm tossed the boat.."?
"It is impossible for me to describe how the storm tossed the boat like a ragdoll abused by a dog. It is superfluous for me to tell you how the waters filled the boat as the rain floods a basin, and it is redundant for me to explain how the lightning flashed across the sky as firebugs flicker at night." I.e. describing the very thing you assert to be indescribable.
2 AnswersWords & Wordplay3 years agoIs the Spanish imperfect progressive "Yo estaba siendo" redundant?
I thought the imperfect indicative translated to "was (verb)ing", or "used to (verb)"; would this translate to "I was being being" or merely "I was being"? If the latter, why can't we use "Yo estaba"?
In fact, when you can use the imperfect indicative at all in a way that makes sense? All the other progressive compound tenses make sense (I am doing, I was doing, I would be doing, I will be doing) except this one?
1 AnswerLanguages3 years agoIs this a case of a young college woman being passive-aggressive to me?
A few examples of something that happened to me at college. Other things like this have happened. I m not sure if it s in my head because I cared about her, or if she is actually being mean. I wouldn t be so upset but it seems too habitual to be coincidental.
We had gotten to know each other a bit and I had helped her with homework and drove her home, helped with things here and there.
1. We were supposed to eat a meal together at a food place on campus. She waited till I paid for my meal, then changed her mind at the last second and went somewhere else, saying she had homework to do. I perceived this as rude and inconsiderate.
2. Three of us were at work while it wasn t busy. She got out a game and said loudly something like "I love playing the games the two of us." And the other two began playing some game on paper.
3. When she left work where we both work I was waving her goodbye. She completely ignored me and said loudly to another guy she saw entering, along the lines of, "Hey it s great to see you! I love giving you hugs!" and gave him a hug. And then left.
On the one hand it seems to be in my head. On the other I can see how she might be being spiteful or something. What do you think?
Can I ask a bigger question about this? Can women be hurt easily? How can you be hurt by someone if you don t care about them?
Or am I simply imagining that she was hurt when she really doesn t care?
I always get the feeling she s trying to make me emotionally in pain?
Singles & Dating3 years agoIs there one thing that all girls like in a guy, or does it vary?
Wouldn't the character of the girl matter in answering this question? What do women like in a man? I mean if you took a line of guys, would all girls like the same one?
Can girls see through facades?
How often do girls think about guys?
Side question: How can men understand women?
