A person who knows the claim of fraud to be untrue but reports it anyway, wasting the state's resources of investigating a false claim can expect a punishment of what?

The person filing the false claim of 'welfare fraud' actually works within the welfare system (though not directly with this person and/or case).

I can prove that the person is in fact aware that the claim they have reported is knowingly false. The resources wasted makes me sick and rather than create more wasteful work, I'm wondering what exactly is the punishment for this financial and social services crime?

Live in CA state, worked for nearly 3 mos. helping a business restructure & modernize. They happily took my brilliant ideas and intellectual property and had me hire additional help. I asked to be put on the books, was given paperwork to fill out and was fired over the phone the next day. Do I have any recourse? Even though I agreed to be off the books for a little while? Seriously burned and need help.

My cat isn't that old, like 11 or 12 years. It's hot lately so she sleeps all the time...until she hears the squishy food can open. An hour or less later, I go in the kitchen and she's screaming at me for more food. She eats what I give her but she wants more. Does she forget she already ate or is she just hot, bored and greedy?

I am a female, was a machinist/welder/fabricator and was one of about 6-10 people the (relatively small) company laid-off.

*note-I KNOW that being a girl has NOTHING to do with my lay-off....I'm proud of what I do (did) and :) love to mention it. :)
