I am new to the real estate business as a realtor. The company I am working with does taxes. They have a client who is looking to buy a house. This client however is currently working with 3 other agents. I am to meet up with these clients on Sunday. Should I have this client sign a Buyers Exclusive Agreement? If yes, what can I do to convince them to sign such agreement? Any advice?

I live in the city of Los Angeles. My roommate owns a tax business out of an office he rents. The office has 4 rooms. Now he wants offer both immigration and notary services. I would have the license do do both. SO here are my questions. Would I work under this company as an indepentent contractor? If yes, can I advertise both services or not? Or sould be be the one to advertise and use my name as the person doing the work? What is confusing is trying to advertise both services with out breaking laws and working under a company as a contractor. I need help.

I just got my California Real Estate License. I am building my own web site. I just need a domain name. I have tried both RobertReatlor and RealtorRobert and both are taken.

I just got my calfornia real estate license. My roommate has stared his own real estate company. He does not have a.license. He has brought in a broker as part of the business. So a contract is to be signed between broker and company? THen a contract between me a the company and contract beween me and broker? Should all contracts state name of company including my contract with broker? Does escrow pay the company at the end of each closing inwhich the company then pays broker and me? This is so confusing. I just want to make sure I get paid and have a legal contract with all parties.

I have been leaving with a friend of mine for the last 6 years. We have managed apartments together. He currently owns his own tax business. However, he told me yesterday that he ca not get his real estate license. He said cause he not a United States citizen.He has been in the United States for the last 17 years. I said he should get his Citizen. He said he can t cause he does not qualify? He would not tell me why he does not qualify. So I am asking what makes one not qualify?

I just passed the California Real Estate Exam. I was an assistant property manager for 6 years in the city of Los Angeles, CA. Before that, I helped manage 3 apartment buildings in another state. Anyway, I see ads online saying you must have a real estate license in Los Angeles CA to be a leasing agent. So my question is am I allowed to work for a company as a leasing agent and for another company as a a realtor?

Okay, for 5 years I was an assistant on-site property manager. I showed vacant units, signed leases with new tenants, created ads ad posted online. During this time I was doing freelancing work for web stuff to earn some $$$$. As assistant property manager I was receiving free rent. Over the past several years I have added to my resume as far as education goes. I took all 3 real estate classes and passed. My state exam is coming up.

Anyway, the onsite manager never paid me a salary in the 5 years. However, he has paid for my schooling for real estate, taxes and etc. He has no stepped down as manager to start his own real estate company. I really do not have the $$$$ to promote myself as an agent full time.

So I am thinking of becoming a leasing agent during the week days and working for my former manager as his company as a real estate agent on the weekends. I would do this until I start saving up more $$$$ and sell my first house. The good news is I know how to build my own website and market it online.

My question is this a good idea to work as a leasing agent for 1 year and on the weekends as a real estate agent? Any laws I must follow?
