So, they can keep eachother company when I'm away from home. 

My ex was a guy who wanted to hang out with other men and womanise. He said he didn't want a relationship and he wanted to be free. So, I said - fine and said goodbye. Some years down the road, I changed my whatsapp profile pic to a bunch of flowers which were given to me. Then all of the sudden out of the blue, the ex texts me saying ' how are you?'. I mean - WHY? I just blocked him anyways...

They ask you out and tell you they love the way you look and dress...then a few months down the line after dating a while, say ..you wear too much makeup - I don't like it, looks you look like youre trying to hard. Your jeans are too tight..it's really not nice..  I mean - why ask me out in the first place if you don't like my dress sense or way I do my hair or makeup?!

When my brother provokes me and I defend myself he regularly replies by ask ‘Jeez are you on your period?’

Any ideas how I could respond ? My friend says to reply with ‘why you wanna drink my blood?’ to freak him out and silence him but I think he’d just laugh.

I don't see the need for it..whether it relates to money, education, looks etc. I thought the meaning of a loving relationship was to elevate your partner and be proud of them - not put them down.

My partner thinks when a man and woman are together (married or LTR), they should both sell up their homes and buy one home together. Deep down, I think this is a mistake. I don't wish to combine finances as things could get messy oneday ..you just never know..I am realistic and know even the most wonderful relationships could oneday turn. I suggested we live in one home and rent out the other but he seems to think otherwise. What do you think?

Or knock a few years off what you think just to be nice / on the safe side?

If I don't mine will feel greasy and I feel dry shampoo isn't good for the hair since it contains a lot of alcohol!

My friend is a great cook - I love her food but her boyfriend never compliments her on it. He has no problem complimenting everyone else's cooking, even if it's not great! I told my friend he probably knows you are a great cook but wants to keep you feeling inadequate and that she should either stop cooking, confront him or leave him. What do you guys think? I just think he should appreciate her more...

My friend's husband was always pretty good to her but literally a week after marriage (when they moved in), he changed. Before he said she was beautiful, smart etc. Now - just 1 week after the wedding, he is saying she too big, doesn't dress right, doesn't do her makeup right..whereas before he never criticised her. What's going on? 

I work hard and managed to buy an apartment after years of saving which I made look nice, but remain humble in my attitude towards life. I started dating a guy who lived in a different neighbourhood renting an apartment which is in a bad state. I never judged when visiting him. Thing is - he kept dropping comments like 'I don't like your area' even though its a really beautiful and safe neighbourhood where people aspire to live. He also said I look my age / a little older, even though everyone else says I look much younger (I eat healthy and exercise daily). He then said I'm gonna come to your apartment and chill..I'm sure you'll be cool if I make a mess there. I felt he was putting me down in subtle ways and also said 'my ex earned more money than you!', so I politely ended it. Why would he have done this? He could have been happy dating a girl who has her act together and who is responsible...
