  • Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves?

Have just been watching on Ch 5 and there were bits in it that I have never seen before! Like when the Sheriff of Nottingham meets the leader of the Scottish Rebels for the first time!

    Did anyone else notice this??

  • little black beetles in my garden?

I have recently moved house and found little "anthills" in my block paving in the front garden. On closer inspection I noticed little black beetles, about the size of ladybirds, scuttling in and out of the mounds of earth.

Are they friends of the garden or should I be trying to eradicate them? I have lots of mature plants in the garden (the previous owner was a keen gardener) and would like to keep it looking nice if possible.

  • UK postage stamps validity?

Whilst sorting out in preparation for my house move, I found two books of unused UK postage stamps with some Christmas cards. They just say second class and the design is from Christmas 3 or 4 years ago. I have been told that as they just say second class they are still usable - can anyone confirm this as they would be useful for my "change of address" cards!!!

  • Indoor Black Calla Lilly care?

I was given an indoor (potted) Black Calla Lilly as a birthday gift in June. It has now completely died back.

How should I care for it now? I assume that it will grow back in the Spring? Where should I keep it - it was on a bright (but not sunny) windowsill?

It is such a pretty and unusual plant when in flower so any advice would be gratefully received.

    Thanks

  • Knitting - if the pattern says end with wrong side (ws) ...?

... does that normally mean ending with a purl row (assuming you are knitting stocking stitch)? I have just started knitting again after 30 years and can't remember!!!!

    It is very confusing!

  • Please tell me the name of this song?

It's pretty recent - they keep playing it on our local radio station but I can never get the title or the artist.

I think it's a female singer in the main but there is someone else singing the lyrics "pack up your troubles in your kit bag" I think as a chorus or just backing ... words a bit like the old wartime song but in a modern style!

It's driving me and hubby mad ... Please help my sanity!

  • Facebook - uploading photographs?

    Hiya

Is anyone else having problems uploading photos to Facebook at the moment? A couple of problems:

1 I use the Facebook photo uploader but it uploads about 5 of each photograph. When I delete the spares, it adds more.

2 I cancel the operation then try again and FB just freezes.

3 Somehow it puts me in another mode and asks me to upload using the simple uploader - 5 at a time (no good when you have more than 5 to upload!)

4 Then it all freezes again. I cancel the operation but find that the photos have been uploaded anyway.

It is sooooo frustrating ... is anyone else having problems and, if so, have you found any solutions?

    Thanks

  • FA Cup Final Tickets for tomorrow?

Out of curiosity, are there any Chelsea fans out there who have been able to get tickets for tomorrow's game yet don't have a season ticket or enough points?

The reason I ask is because I am a Chelsea fan living in Portsmouth and there are a plethora of tickets floating around. I have been offered tickets for the final but all in the Portsmouth end ... not a good idea!!!

The local radio stations down here are practically giving them away as is the local paper. Is the same thing happening in London and on London local radio stations/papers? I would be interested to know.

It would appear that the allocation of tickets is not worked out right - let's face it, there are more Chelsea season ticket holders than there are actual Portsmouth fans who go to Fratton Park ... yet both teams get the same allocation (Pompey have actually just been given an extra 1000 yesterday!) They can't give them away!

  • iPod Classic sorting songs on playlist?

When I add a new song to a playlist on my iPod, although on iTunes it shows at the top, on the playlist on my iPod it is at the end.

  • SAF - does he not think his team can do it?

Instead of putting all his faith in his sadly underperforming team, is now praying that Wigan will perform a miracle at Stamford Bridge to help ManUre win the title.

    Bit sad, eh?

Chelsea are not praying that ManUre will lose - they will play to win .... 4 - 0 to Chelsea methinks!

  • English Premier League title and trophy?

Hopefully it will be sorted beforehand (in Chelsea's favour, hopefully!) but if the title does go to the last match of the season, where will the trophy be as ManUre are at home as are Chelsea?

Surely the PL will want to present the trophy on that day and can't be in two places at once??

I want to use a particular track for my ringtone on my Samsung mobile phone. I have uploaded it onto my phone but when someone calls me, the ringtone starts at the beginning of the track. Is there any way I can adapt it so that the actual ringtone is the chorus ? I have iTunes and the track is also on my iPod

Simple please cos I am not very technically minded.

  • Graham Norton show - Monday 19 April?

Was Billie Piper having problems with her hair whilst she was on Graham Norton last night?

It looked to me as though she had hair extensions and one of them was about to fall out! There was a long hank of hair on her shoulder and she kept putting her hand up to it as if to stop it falling out.

    Just curious .....

  • Samsung Tocco Lite Mobile Phone help?

    Hi

I have just got a Tocco Lite on O2 contract. I am happy with it apart from the fact that I cannot move the O2-UK banner. I am unable to drag and drop it onto the widget bar or move it at all. I have a photo of my beautiful Golden Retrieber dog as a wallpaper but this banner is right across her face!!!

Is it something that is unique to O2? Anyone had the same problem? Is there an answer?

    Thanks in anticipation

Have you seen this programme? Does anyone else think that the actor who plays Chris is the spitting image of the singer Craig David?

I have Wiki'd the actor (O T Fagbenle) just in case but he is an award winning actor!

  • Hats for Haiti - Earthquake fundraiser?

We are having a Hats for Haiti day tomorrow at work. Obviously we are all going to join in to donate money for the people of Haiti caught up in the aftermath of the earthquake. However, we are trying to find out the origins of this particular fundraiser but can't find anything? We can ascertain that it is an international event but who started it? Was it Red Cross, DEC?

Can anyone help? We would just like to know who came up with the idea - is it merely a play on words?

    Thanks

  • Current arguments about the Christmas No 1 song?

Don't you think that the Music Charts here in the UK are not worth anything anymore? Regardless of whether they are Christmas or any time of the year.

Once upon a time people couldn't wait for Tuesday lunchtimes to find out who is No 1 in the charts - now you have never heard of half of the acts in the charts. No one ever stays in the "top 10" for longer than a fortnight.

It's a shame ... perhaps I am hankering for the old days! I might be a 50 yr old granny but I still love music.

    What do you think?
