I'm 51, and able to do many things well, but can't find a job. What's the best way to earn a living?
The marketing communications market is nearly non-existent for a creative director, and I've applied all over the place, using networking connections as much as possible. I can't even get an interview. What's next - move to a South Seas island and live off of coconuts?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoHow can I determine the specifications on my 1999 Ford Taurus for CARS qualifications?
With the cutoff at 18 MPG on the CARS.gov website, my car is very close to qualifying/not qualifying, depending on whether it's a 6-cylinder 2V or 4V, neither of which qualify (one is 20mpg and the other is 19mpg). There is also a listing as a Taurus SHO, but I have no idea which one of these my car is. Is there more info on the title?

Glad to see Al Franken wasted no time in showing his true douchebag colors at lunch the other day...

I mean, really... can this man seriously expect us to believe he lives like the "common man"?
22 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat is the name of that wine that came in a squatty, flat, green bottle?
Everyone used them in the 70's to hold drip candles, but none of us can remember the name of it.
3 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits1 decade agoIs there anyone running for office more politically inept than Cindy Sheehan?
She's dedicating her campaign to the people of Iraq and Afghanistan – in just which country is she running for office?

We've been near the Mexico, Canada, and Germany/Italy pavilions, and all have had positives and negatives. Any suggestions?
4 AnswersOrlando1 decade agoWhat does this "engineering symbol" mean?
This is a repost of my original question. You can see the symbol here:

The excavator graphic was added by the client, but they claim the symbol in the background is an engineering symbol. Any ideas what it represents?
4 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoAfter 2-1/2 days, Claritin stopped being effective against allergies. What's up?
I'm sure it's tree pollen allergies, but why would it work for a few days, then completely stop working? I'm in misery!
5 AnswersAllergies1 decade agoWhat is the best diet/fitness plan to lower cholesterol and triglycerides?
I know about eating more fish and getting more exercise, but what's the best overall approach to balance everything? (I've been eating low-carb, and everything else checks out fine. The cholesterol and triglyceride levels are out of control, though…)
3 AnswersHeart Diseases1 decade agoIs there actually a bigger waste of time than debating and voting on a non-binding resolution?
It would save us all time (and, I suppose, money) to just have the high-school-minded members of Congress make crank calls to the White House to show President Bush how much they dislike him.
No wonder our government has lost its international "teeth."
10 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoIf global warming is caused by us, and inevitable (according to scientists), how is Hillary going to stop it?
Which is it? Something we caused, and can reverse, or an inevitable fact of nature that politicians want to have power over?
16 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhich is correct – "whatever road you choose" or "whichever road you choose"?
The first sounds somewhat better, but the second seems more correct. Can someone explain the difference?
1 AnswerOther - Education1 decade agoIf not the president's plan, then what?
Our national focus seems to be on who can more "intelligently" disagree with the current administration.
Please tell me, what is the better way to go in Iraq? What is the solution?
2 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhich fonts would you include in a basic, "working" set for a graphic design studio?
We have pared down a previous group of fonts (installed in our system by a former art director) from about 14,000 to about 7,000, but we've decided it would be easier to just "start from scratch" and install only those we'd use regularly.
Any suggestions? (Yes, he has been terminated, but we'd still like the opportunity to slap him around a little…)

My son tasted it during a world missions presentation and loved it; now, he'd like to find a recipe for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
