YOU know what is funny about Muslim questions about Jesus?
It's liek someone with no money betting a billionaire. WHO CARES ?
I mean, for 700-800 years people had Jesus and the Church and the Scriptures and believed. Now Islam comes along tries the same thing and if anybody (even Muslims) tries to update their answer they murder him

Instead, it is motivated by pettiness, cruelty and narrow-mindedness.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoWhat should you think of things like the Gospel of Thomas?
St Jerome said of looking in non-canoncial books before knowing the canonical: You can find some food in the garbage but you should look in the pantry FIRST

Nietzsche: “If you have a why to live, you can bear almost any how.”
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoIt appears no one on here knows about Freud's real views on Religion.?
Sigmund Freud, although he was atheist, understood very clearly what defective fathering can do to belief in God. In a 1910 essay on Leonardo Da Vinci, he wrote: “…youthful persons lose their religious belief as soon as the authority of the father breaks down.”
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoDo we have proof that Hitler hated the Catholic Church more than anything?
All adults know (who read the papers and have heard about the Goebbels diaries) is that his greatest hate in life was the Catholic Church
In a 1942 Table Talk he said: "The fact that I remain silent in public over Church affairs is not in the least misunderstood by the sly foxes of the Catholic Church, and I am quite sure that a man like Bishop von Galen knows full well that after the war I shall extract retribution to the last farthing".
In 1939, Goebbels wrote that the Fuhrer knew that he would "have to get around to a conflict between church and state" but that in the meantime "The best way to deal with the churches is to claim to be a 'positive Christian'."[79]
The Führer is deeply religious, though completely anti-Christian. He views Christianity as a symptom of decay. Rightly so. It is a branch of the Jewish race. This can be seen in the similarity of their religious rites. Both (Judaism and Christianity) have no point of contact to the animal element, and thus, in the end they will be destroyed. The Führer is a convinced vegetarian on principle.
— Goebbels Diaries, 29 December 1939
Goebbels notes Hitler had "expressed his revulsion against Christianity. He wished that the time were ripe for him to be able to openly express that. Christianity had corrupted and infected the entire world of antiquity."[

17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoDoes this philosopher show what is most wrong on Y!A Religion?
Yet the great philosopher Bergson disagrees
“Fortunately, some are born with spiritual immune systems that sooner or later give rejection to the illusory worldview grafted upon them from birth through social conditioning. They begin sensing that something is amiss, and start looking for answers. Inner knowledge and anomalous outer experiences show them a side of reality others are oblivious to, and so begins their journey of awakening. Each step of the journey is made by following the heart instead of following the crowd and by choosing knowledge over the veils of ignorance.”
― Henri Bergson

5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoAtheists are known to be more superstitious than any other group AND they do NOT rely on natural sciences. The proof?
I want atheism to be true and am made uneasy by the fact that some of the most intelligent and well-informed people I know are religious believers. It isn’t just that I don’t believe in God and, naturally, hope that I’m right in my belief. It’s that I hope there is no God! I don’t want there to be a God; I don’t want the universe to be like that.”(”The Last Word” by Thomas Nagel, Oxford University Press: 1997)”
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoI follow Pope Benedict's view of the Rosary, Can you see its value over the mechanical answers on here?
I pray (the rosary) with the great simplicity, just as my parents did. They both loved the Holy Rosary. And this love increased as they aged. The older we are, the less intellectual efforts that are possible, and the more an internal refuge is needed, thus to dive into the prayers of the Church. So I pray the Holy Rosary just like they did.”
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoYes if you are Christian you should let your light shine. But doesn't that mean...?
when I see someone not shining I have no reason to think that they are Christian and the not shining is a proof of that.
