  • Top Non-Alcoholic drinks to order at a bar?

I have to give up on alcoholic drinks since I've found out I have Temporal-Lobe Epilepsy. So if I'm invited to a bar to hang, what would be some typical/top/favorite non-alcoholic drinks to order? Only one I'm really familiar with would probably be Club Soda, Lemonade, Iced Tea, or Arnold Palmer.

  • Painful/Dizzy Deja Vu's?

Okay this has happened only a couple of times and just in the past year. I would randomly get a random deja vu moment that I tend to forget a few minutes after but when I do get this deja vu, I become light headed, I feel almost drunk, and time just seems to be a blur. I have to almost immediately sit down to take a breather. Has anyone ever encountered this before?

  • getting a lot of bloody nose?

The inner side of my left nostril has a cut or opening that refuses to heal. Sometimes pushing against my nose too hard or being in a hot environment including hot showers or passionate sex has been leading to bloody nose. Always from the same nostril and side. Any ideas why it won't heal? This has been going on for several months now

  • substituting leaf gelatine sheets?

Im making a panacotta recipe and it calls for sheets of leaf gelatine. Since I'm from the US, its hard to find gelatine sheets so I bought regular gelatine powder envelopes instead. In the recipe the gelatine are to be soaked in cold water, squeezed, and added into the cream mixture. How would I approach it with powdered gelatine? Just pour? 1 envelope per sheet? Does it require any extra steps?

  • choosing what my vision focuses on?

Say your sitting in front of your computer during a sunny day and you can see the relection of the window on your computer screen. It's barely noticeable but if you force yourself to focus on the window, the window becomes completely crisp and clear and the computer screen becomes out of focus. And you're able to switch back and forth easily. What is this called?

  • Underweight, can't gain weight?

I'm currently 22 years old, 5ft8 and weight 121 pounds

    but here is my issue:

    1) I have a fast metabolism. (i calculated that i need to eat at least 3000 calories to maintain and gain weight)

    2) I have a poor appetite. When I am stressed out, it gets worse.

    3) I've been diagnosed for severe depression/ bipolarism.

    4) I am very self-conscious of my weight which makes me stress out more.

    5) I have no money. Lost my job, dropped out of school, paying off school and medical debt. So I am limited to the amount of food i can buy.

    6) Marijuana helped me gain 10-15 pounds, but i ended up building too much of a tolerance and neither can I afford it, most of the weight has gone.

    7) I would like to work-out but have no equipment or can afford to pay a sub for the gym

Any tips would be helpful. I have a feeling most people will say just be happy about your body, but I think personally in my case, it's only have made me more depressed.

  • what happens if my unpaid medical bills go to collection?

When I took a semester off of college, I did not know my school medical insurance would be deactivated till I started again, not only that, a pre-existing condition would settle for 6 months. Unfortunately inbetween that six months I ended up in the ER and now I have 4-5 bills that I have to pay from my own pocket because they were all denied. Since I work a minimum wage job and am also a working college student i've started to set up payment programs with each bill but I still won't be able to pay every payments every month and I am starting to contemplate to let all the bills go to the collection agency but would like to know what exactly are the consequences and if anyone can share an advice on how to approach this

  • Is my neighbor neglecting their dogs?

My neighbors are elders who owns two dogs. They don't seem to care much about the dogs since they never leave the backyard and they're always howling/crying. It's heartbreaking to hear it every night and sometimes I try to throw treats over but thats all I can really do.

I recently took some pictures over the wall and found no signs of water bowls or dog house/crates for them. There's no grass, all cement and it's cover with dog feces.

They obviously feed them the least since they're still alive and it's good they have a companion but living next to them is torture since I own my own dog and love animals dearly. I always think about calling animal control but wonder if they can do anything about it and I'm not the kind of person who wants to create a conflict with my neighbors.

What do you guys think I should do? I even have been contemplating about taking them to the vet and letting it seem like they escaped but I know that isn't the right thing to do.

    Here are the pictures:

  • Can someone explain how my statue exploded?

Several years ago, my mom and I were in the dining room and we heard an explosion in the other room. We went to the room to find my mom's buddist statue (appx 6-12 inches tall) in pieces. Now my mom believes it was some spirit, and some might believe so, but I'm looking for a more scientific reason as I remember reading a while back about how decaying can make certain things explode over time (or so I remember). I don't exactly know what it was made of, probably some time of hard clay. Does anyone have a scientific explanation to this?
