Netflix has trouble streaming on Smart TV?
Netflix works absolutely fine on every device in my home except my Smart TV. For some reason when I try to watch on the TV, it constantly needs to rebuffer until it eventually says it can't connect to the internet and shuts down. Whenever I perform a connection test, the TV says the internet connection is fine. Any ideas as to what the problem might be?
1 AnswerOther - Computers7 years agoBreading keeps falling off chicken while cooking...How do I make it stick?
I have trouble keeping the breading on chicken when I pan fry it. I usually start with a dredge of milk and egg, then I coat the chicken with either flour, bread crumbs, or panko. Then I put it in a hot pan with a bit of oil.
Without fail, the breading just falls right off the chicken after about 3 or 4 minutes. If I manage to get it through the cooking process with the breading still on, it just breaks off in chunks as soon as I cut into it it. The breading has absolutely no traction.
What's the secret? How do you get a nice fried breading on chicken that will actually stay on the meat?
6 AnswersCooking & Recipes8 years agoMy Hamster is going crazy to store food?
Lately my hamster has been going crazy trying to store food. She packs it all in her mouth, and then she tries to chew through the bars of the cage so she can get out and store food someplace. I'm assuming this is all happening because the summer is ending and her instincts are telling her to store food for winter. Does anyone have any ideas about how to get her to calm down a bit?
1 AnswerRodents9 years agoGood Multiplayer Games for Xbox 360 (Not Online)?
I'm looking for some good multiplayer games for the Xbox 360. I'm not looking for online games, I'm looking for something to play with friends when they come over. Any genre is fine. I thought the co-op missions from MW3 and Black Ops were pretty good, and I used to enjoy the X-men Legends games for the original Xbox. The games don't have to be amazing. Any recommendations for fun multiplayer games would be great.

6 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agoFor Cast Iron pans, do the grill pans make a difference?
I'm going to buy my first cast iron pan, and I've noticed some of them are designed with grooves to make grill marks. I was wondering, do the grill pans make a difference when cooking, or are they strictly a cosmetic touch to get those nice grill marks on the food?
4 AnswersCooking & Recipes10 years agoResistor completely blown, how do I found out what to replace it with?
I have a bass cabinet with 4 10" speakers and a blown Resistor. The problem is it didn't just burn out, it actually blew up. I can tell it was a cement resistor, and they usually say the specs on them, but this one basically disintegrated, so there's no way to identify the type. Does anyone know how you figure out what resistor to use as a replacement when the old one goes completely kablooey?

1 AnswerBlues1 decade agoWhat wrong with my audio?
I'm having a bizarre problem with the audio on my laptop. At this point I'm not looking for a solution so much as the problem. I've contacted many people for support in fixing the error, including Gateway customer support, and so far no one has been able to figure out what would cause the problem I'm having. So here it is:
The audio on my laptop has two main issues. First, it skips, like a scratched CD, despite the fact that the audio is not being read off of a CD. This one I can't explain. I've double checked the music files and there's no problem with them. They work fine when I play them on my MP3 player, just not if I'm playing them on my computer.
The second issue, my laptop adds a weird layer of distortion behind everything. It sounds like digital distortion as opposed to clipping you would expect from analog distortion. If I'm listening to the music through headphones, and I put the volume at 5, I can't hear it, but once you raise the volume to 6, it presents itself, and very loudly. However, as you turn the volume up more, it doesn't get louder. The music will eventually drown it out.
Now here's where it gets really weird. All of these issues ONLY occur when the audio is being played through some kind of external speakers or headphones. If I play audio through the laptop speakers, the audio is completely fine. I double checked the speakers, the headphones, and all the cables. Everything works fine. This means my computer is skipping the audio, and adding distortion, but only if I send the audio out the audio jack.
So far no one has any idea what the problem is, let alone how to correct it. Does anyone have any idea what might cause this unusual problem?
3 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoWho were the early players of electric minor blues?
I've been listening to some old 50's electric blues by Lowell Fulson lately, but I noticed he only does major blues songs. Who were the players that were doing predominantly minor blues songs in the 50s that inspired tunes like "Since I've Been Loving You" by Zeppelin and "Black Magic Woman" by Fleetwood Mac?
4 AnswersBlues1 decade agoAdvice for negotiating a security deposit?
I moved out of an apartment a few months ago and finally received my security deposit back, however it was quite a bit lower than I was expecting. There were a few charges on there that came as a shock and I'm wondering if anyone has advice on negotiating a higher return. There's two charges specifically that I wanted to negotiate on. One is a pest control fee for flea infestation. As long as I lived in the apartment, we never had a problem with fleas. I've lived in homes with flea infestation before, and it's not something that goes unnoticed. They're a frequent pain, literally. Unfortunately, I have no proof there were no fleas in the apartment, so I'm not sure how to go about arguing this. The second item was a furniture removal fee. Our apartment was empty, so I'm sure it wasn't anything we left behind, but there was a couch and some other junk left in the alley by a previous tenant who had moved out several weeks before. I'm certain the charge was to get rid of the previous tenants junk, but again, I can't prove that it belonged to someone else, so how do I negotiate this?
If it helps, I might have a bit of hand over my landlord. My state law says that a landlord needs to return the security deposit to the tenants 21 days after vacating the apartment. My landlord failed to do this and didn't respond to phone calls I made and messages I left regarding the security deposit until 30 days had passed. Technically, they're supposed to owe the entire security deposit, but getting them to pay up would probably take a trip to court, which I'm not too keen on doing. Still, it's something I may be able to use as a negotiation tool. So can anyone help me out?

2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoCan I just not pay this ticket?
I received a parking ticket on a college campus. The ticket is in no way affiliated with the police department, the city, or the DMV. The ticket was given out by a student who had been hired by the college campus's parking center. He has no legal training or background, other than the training provided by the college. I asked the school about fighting the ticket, but because the ticket was given by the college and not a city official, the only way I can protest it is to make a written request to the parking center to overturn the ticket. There is no intermediary who decides if the ticket was fair. The person who decides if the ticket is valid is the same person who collects the money. I've asked around, and I've been told that the parking services never overturns a ticket, no matter what the circumstances are.
Here's my question: What are the consequences of not paying a ticket issued by a private institution that has no affiliation with the state police or DMV? It seems that I will have no way of defending myself fairly against the ticket since there's no legal system in place on the campus to defend people from unwarranted tickets, but because there's no legal grounds in place, I really just want to forget about it and not pay it. Does anyone have experience with this? What's the worst thing the college can do if I refuse to pay it?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhat are the consequences of not paying this ticket?
I received a parking ticket from a private institution. It's a college campus, and the ticket is in no way affiliated with the city, county, police, or DMV. I'm wondering what repercussions will follow from not paying this ticket. What options do they have to enforce the paying of this ticket? Can they forward the information to the DMV? Would the DMV even care if the ticket was given on a private lot, since they won't be receiving any of the funds?
