Hi, I wanted to know if anyone knew the shortest amount of time you can have a cold for, because whenever I get a cold it onsets rapidly, and I recover rapidly, however the intensity of the cold seems to be much heavier during this time.

Yesterday evening, I felt a tickle in my throat, and 2 hours later I had running nose and fever, which got worse into the night. My throat then got really sore, and I've been up most the night.

I just slept all morning, and just like all the other time I got a cold, I seem to be recovering. My nose stopped running, my fever is gone and my throat is feeling much better.

I just think its pretty odd how an ilness can come and go so fast, is this normal, is it a metabolism thing? (im really skinny)

Any info would be great, I had a look online but couldn't seem to find an answer/.

I'm wondering if anyone that understand DHT and hair loss can answer this question.

As men grow older, their testosterone decreases and estrogen rises. Testosterone and DHT are the main cause of hair loss, so I'm wondering what the explanation for men losing their hair as they grow old, even though their estrogen level is rising, and T levels diminishing. I heard that estrogen encourages DHT to bind to the hair follicles, but I'm unsure how true that is.

I'd really appreciate an explanation of this, as there is so much contradicting info out there, thanks!

There used be a bell icon that lit up red whenever people had replied to a my comments etc, yet since its gone I can't seem to find anywhere to check the replies to me.

I used to have a little bell[?] icon on the top right of my yahoo screen beside my name that lit up with red marks whenever someone replied to a comment I left or voted it up.

It now seems to no longer be there even since the yahoo update.

Is there any way to get it back, or have they permanently changed it?

It makes little sense as the update has made my yahoo page very user unfriendly, when I presume the change was to achieve the opposite. Its a shame - I haven't really even been using yahoo much since, it just seems like a mess now...

Screw Google, they ruined youtube, messed up my accounts, and just made an absolute mess out of something that worked fine.

In feeble attempt to boycott it, I have reporting everything of the 'whats hot' stuff posted to my google plus page as Spam, and would encourage everyone to do the same.

Its actually the type of thing that if everyone starts doing it, they will have to change it.

I am just after opening yahoo answers and seem to be logged into someone elses account - my immediate concern is that if I am viewing someone elses account, then who is viewing mine?

Peoples private information is being compromised by Yahoo, most likely from their new and pointless updates.

Just wondering am I the only one who used enjoy the show but now finds it painfully difficult to watch? I definitely won't be watching it again any time soon!

I am looking to find some new music, and am particularly interested in the older 16th/17th century choral stuff written for choirs.

I particularly like the sadder pieces opposed to the upbeat ones, which I know is very subjective, but hopefully it may aid the recommendations a bit better.

I am curious if any of you have any theories about people being able to communicate via certain forces produced within the human field or even just atomically, possibly even a force that is undiscovered yet it suggests its existence through other means?

I do not necessarily mean communication that is verbal, but rather communication that is much more primitive yet a fundamental in consciousness - something that could be much older than verbal dialects.

A few aspects interest me regarding this matter are things such as resonance, all matter is fluctuating/oscillating at tremendous speeds creating harmonic fields on many levels including sub atomic. All matter is essentially connected via this resonance as each field affects the next.

I have also heard some fascinating stories about the electrical current of the human heart and how it also creates what is perceived as 'premonition' ability by basically being affected by the currents around the body, and also great distance - this links into a common occurrence of people who are close to each other have been able to 'sense' their partners death. It is believed the heart is responsible for this phenomenon.

I would love to hear what you guys think about this!

Sometimes I have strange feeling that something bad happened, and then hours/days later finding out that something bad actually happened at that exact time of the sensation.

This could be put down to coincidence obviously, but would love to hear some other explanations...
