Spiritually speaking, if you REFUTE someone's argument, what does "refute" mean?
I see the word "refute" bandied about liberally on this and many other forums, and it is commonly misused, even by national newspapers and TV news broadcasters who should know better.
Can we have votes please:
a) Deny
b) Dislike
c) Disprove
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do Christians keep telling atheists that they should "choose" to believe?
Are they not aware that asking someone to choose to believe is like demanding that someone finds you attractive.

26 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow many of us Atheists knew that "Evolutionist" is now a dictionary word?
Apparently it is now in Webster's, though I don't know if it is yet in any British English dictionaries.
Ho hum. At least I lose no credibility by admitting that I was wrong.
Sorry if I gave anyone a thumbs-down over this, though I don't think I did.
