  • Arbonne Essentials Protein Shake Mix - Is there a cheaper alternative?

My Dad is a diabetic and using the Arbonne powder has helped his blood sugar level tremendously, as well as lowering my Mom's cholesterol level. The problem is that it's expensive, and I was wondering if there was a generic alternative that was the same exact mix only without the hassle and expense.

I'm guessing that some of the nutrition stores like GNC and others probably have something similar, or maybe there's something on the web that I can order. I was hoping that one of ya'll could help me out by telling me where to look or what product names to search for.

Thanks so much for your help. I will, of course, award best answer in a couple of days.

  • Would you ride an electric or fuel cell motorcycle?

If you could get something in the same price range of a gasoline bike, that looked about the same, and had the same performance, would you switch?

Or is the noise an important part of your riding experience?

If the performance was not quite as good, or driving distance not quite as far, would you still be interested? Would the price have to be much cheaper to get you to switch?

Thanks in advance for all your answers...

  • Billy got 6 years. Any thoughts?

Billy Lane was sentenced to 6 years in prison plus 3 years probation in his DUI vehicular manslaughter case. He also got a lifetime suspension of his license.

Never gets to ride a bike again. Ever. Not legally, anyway.

    Got any thoughts? Comments?

  • Will you wear a helmet now that Fat Boy died?

Bruce Rossmeyer, owner of the largest Harley dealership on the planet, as well as a dozen others plus some car stuff, died on the way to Sturgis today. He was riding with a group of folks from here in FL, and decided to pass a truck pulling a trailer who made a left turn in front of him.

The truck's lights and signals were working fine. Fat Boy wasn't wearing his helmet, because like all other RUB's, helmets just don't look cool on your Harley.

For the record, I've hit an 18-wheeler head on and lived to tell about it. I was wearing a full face helmet, like I always do.

Will you start wearing one now?

  • When did GMC and Chevrolet quit making step side trucks?

And why did they stop? Was there lack of demand? Can you special order one?

  • Does it help when the asker says "10 POINTS"?

I see a lot of folks that will add stuff like "10 points for best answer!" like that's supposed to get me excited about answering their question.

What's the deal with that, anyway?

  • Reasons why bikes are better than women, got any?

I saw a t-shirt that had the Top 10 reasons why golf is better than women. One example was "in golf, you don't have to get the owner's permission to play the back nine".

I haven't seen a list like that for motorcycles, I was wondering if any of ya'll had any ideas. I'll start with a few:

I can throw my leg over my bike anytime I want.

The bike doesn't care how fast you go.

I'd rather have a trash can full of used oily rags, not used feminine rags.

    Any ideas?

I would like to see our GLBT answerers contribute as well...

  • Is Honda too late to the party?

Honda is rolling out their new chopper today, the Fury. V-twin engine, stretched frame, raked front end, 21" alloy front wheel, long teardrop gas tank, etc.

Do you think folks will respond to this? Did they show up too late for the chopper party? Do people want a metric knock-off of Jesse James? Or do people even want a chopper any more? Are stretched out choppers old news?

Or is it all about price? What price would you pay for a metric chopper? I think they're supposed to hit dealerships in March, and I don't think they've announced the price yet, maybe they'll do that at today's press conference.

    What do ya'll think?

The website isn't up yet (12:30am EST), but it'll be http://www.furyisunleashed.com/ when they fire it up later today.

  • What about alternative fuel motorcycles?

Would you be interested in bikes that run on E85?

What about one that runs on biodiesel?

What about one that runs on a hydrogen fuel cell?

What about electric or other than can be fueled with solar?

Or will you ride gasoline and only gasoline bikes?

  • Let's have a charity ride for Joe B...wanna help?

One of our favorite contributors here on Yahoo! Answers is a little short on funds these days, so I thought we'd have a charity ride to raise money for him. The way I see it, he needs enough money to pay for a prescription of Viagra and some prostitutes so he can resolve some of his issues, plus enough money to be able to afford one of those Harley bikes that he loves so much.

I figure we can sell t-shirts, maybe have a poker run, and I'd be willing to donate food and beer for anyone willing to show up and donate.

We as a motorcycle riding community need to be supportive of our fellow riders, and this is our opportunity to help a brother in need. If you have any suggestions for this charity event, please post them here...

  • If God created it, it must be okay, right?

If God created the plants and animals and told us to have dominion over them and use them to our benefit, and those plants include marijuana, does that mean that using it is okay?

  • What's one thing you've got to do on your bike before you're gone?

Someday, when you've got the time and the money, what's something you'd like to do on your bike before you kick the bucket?

Ride to Sturgis, Bike Week, Biketoberfest?

    Ride the Dragon?

Ride Highway 1 on the west coast?

    Do 200 mph?

    Set a record?

    Get on tv?

Race at a professional AMA event?

Personally, I'd like to scrape my knee on the corkscrew at Laguna Seca one of these days.

    What's on your "bucket list"?

  • How many of you think your scooter should be faster?

I've seen a lot of questions regarding the speed of their scooter, wanting to change exhaust, air cleaners, gears, etc to make them faster.

Do you actually think there is loads of untapped horsepower available in that tiny engine, which can be unleashed with minor modifications?

Do you actually think that the engineers that designed it thought to themselves "we've got to limit the speed on these things or they'll be dangerous"?

Or do you think there is some governmental regulation that limits the power/output/speed of these vehicles?

And how many of you think it's safer to operate a scooter than a motorcycle on public roads?

Better yet, how many people think you don't need a DOT approved helmet for riding a scooter on public roads? Those of you who ride motorcycles with no helmets don't need to respond, just make sure and sign your organ donor card.

  • I've got an interview. Should I slick down my ponytail or go dry?

I'm a guy, and I've got a job interview this week where I need to dress up. I don't know if I should put it in a ponytail and leave it dry, where it'll be sort of bushy 'cause I have thick hair. I could put some stuff in it so it would stay neat, but I think I'd look like a reject from The Godfather. It's a management position where I could dress casual but I'm thinking about wearing a suit to the interview. I guess I have split ends or whatever because it starts to look raggedy after a while, and greasy stuff might keep that down and look neater.

If it's okay to put stuff in it, what do you recommend?

  • What should we do about all these new riders?

Obviously the higher gas prices are pushing more people to switch to two-wheeled transportation. My concern is this: we've got more kids, women and others who are looking at their first bike, which means we'll have more rookies out on the road. More rookies means more accidents, and more deaths. When you go to other countries, bikes often outnumber cars, but they don't have the same accident rates that we do (maybe they don't keep accurate statistics).

So my question is this: What should we do?

Should we have a national law that requires all new riders to take a motorcycle safety course?

Should rookie riders be required to wear a rookie stripe similar to those in Nascar so that other drivers can instantly recognize them?

Should rookie riders be limited as to which roads they can ride?

What about laws concerning people in cars? Should we make the penalty harsh for folks in cars who hit folks on bikes?

Should cities with HOV lanes allow bikes during heavy traffic?
