  • please help: Looking for a children's story with unicorns?

It belonged to a series of stories in a volume of books. The unicorn with the curved horn is racing two other unicorns, and during the race he saves people using his horn. At the end of the race he/she is proclaimed the winner, because the race was really about how caring the unicorns could be.

  • Why wouldn't god allow second chances?

If this life is all we have, and free will gives us the opportunity to believe and do what we want, then why would there be an eternal punishment for something we are inherently ignorant to? Even people in prison can be given a second chance.

  • Why is modern man attracted to one god as opposed to many?

It seems that thousands of years ago it was backwards. Akhenaten himself was considered a heretic for wanting to worship one god in Ancient Egypt. So now that we have more religious freedom than ever, why is the thought of polytheism so unpopular?

  • Would god be considered a being in a form we can't conceive?

or is god more like an connective consciousness shared by a selective group of people? Not really anything physical, but merely a feeling?

  • Is it possible that some people aren't meant to believe in God, or any god?

If the only way for one to prove a god exist is to tell them that they feel it in their heart, then maybe some people will never feel any presence of a god because they will never get, or understand, that feeling that someone bigger then them self exists....

I used to believe in God. I grew up Presbyterian, but after awhile I had to question why I believed in God in the first place. I couldn't think of a reason. I believed in God because everyone around me did and that's how I was raised. I never really thought about what that kind of omnipotent presence meant to me.... It turns out..it didn't affect me at all.
