  • What is the best cheese type, and ham type, to use in chicken cordon bleu?

I have made it before, and it turned out lovely, but the cheddar cheese kind of melted out while frying it in the pan. What would be a better type of cheese to use that would melt nicely but not completely out of the roll? I would also like to know what kind of ham you find best to use?

  • What is it with voting these days?

Why do most people asking questions these days put it to a vote or just let it slide into voting? It seems that less and less askers choose a best answer themselves. Why do you think this is? Laziness perhaps?

  • Did you enjoy Girl with Dragon Tattoo?

by Swedish author Stieg Larsson and did you like the main characters Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist? Do you think they were believable and sympathetic? I thoroughly enjoyed it and have bought the 2nd in the trilogy Girl who played with Fire, to start [and probably finish] this weekend. I've read many varying reviews from aweful to wonderful, wondered what you all thought of it?

  • If the world becomes vegetarian?

overnight, what would happen to all the farm animals? They are not "naturally evolved" but were bred by humans for human consumption. What do vegetarians/vegans [and others] suggest we do with them all? Kill them? Let them starve? Set them free? Etc?

  • If Christians say that the bible is the infallible word of god,?

then why did it need revisions, more than 30 councils through the years to decide what to include or not, and so forth? Shouldn't the original Greek [NT] and Hebrew [OT] scripts be used exclusively [if any of them can even be trusted]? NO King James bible, etc.?

  • How does proving the historical events in the bible prove the existence of (a) god?

Even if christians prove that Jesus existed, how does that prove he is the son of a god? How does proving old testament events [texts which actually summarise the history of the Jews] prove the existence of (a) god? So if texts in the Hindu holy books are proven historically correct, it would prove the existence of their gods?

  • WB Yeats poem name?

I know the poem by heart, goes like this:

"Through summer time we long for spring

and through the spring for summer call

    and when abounding hedges ring

declare that winter's best of all

But after that there's nothing good

because the spring time did not come

and we know not that which disturbs our blood

is but its longing for the tomb"

Can anyone help me with the name of this poem. Tried searching on literature sites but finding nothing.

  • Vegetarian allergic to gluten?

I am not a vegetarian but I am gluten intolerant and allergic to wheat. If I were a vegetarian, what would you recommend eating since the staple of vegetarian/vegan diets seem to be mostly grains? This question is just for interest's sake...

  • Why do xtians always think we atheists "reject" god?

I mean, after all, how can you reject something you don't even believe exists? By saying what they do, xtians are implying that atheists [even agnostics] once knew god and now rejects him. Which is just not true.

  • The Morality of Stem cell research?

What is the moral issue with stem cell research? What is the difference if you flush an embryonic stem cell marked for destruction down a toilet or use it for research? What makes destroying the cell more moral than doing research on it that could save and improve millions [probably billions] of lives?
