My roommate used to make a lentil salad from the Moosewood Cookbook. She moved out and I'm no longer in touch. I purchased a Moosewood Cookbook, published 1977, and the recipe is not there. Can anyone tell me which edition it is in so I can get one?

I have a copy of The Zohar: Parashat Pinchas, vol. 1 translated by Philip S. Berg, 1986. Is this the same as the unorthodox Berg of the Kabbalah Center in LA? Anyone have an opinion on this translation? I have vol. 1 & 2 of the Pritzker edition, and an old 5 volume set. I'm a fan of the very orthodox Aryeh Kaplan. So don't bother warning me off Berg and his version of Kabbalah, I'm not interested in it (or saying how great he is, either). I just wondered about his translation.

I'm not totally sure I understand what troll or trolling means. Based on the Wikipedia definition, it seems that most questions on Religion and Spirituality are trollish. Perhaps they are just questions by uninformed people. Please give me a straight forward answer to the question, "What exactly is a troll and what is trollish behavior?

I have some friends on a local interfaith council. They consider themselves Wiccan -- pagan witches. They said that the people on the council seemed much more upset that they considered themselves pagan, than they were about them being witches. Why do you suppose that is? Which bothers you more witches or pagans?

Would you marry someone of a different faith? How about if their religion taught that members of your faith were evil? Would you convert if you had to in order to marry? What if you disagreed with the tenets of the other person's religion?

There doesn't seem to be any rule against voting for your own answer in Yahoo! Answers in the Community Guidelines. Can you do it, without being penalized?

My understanding is that a woman needs the permission of a male relative to go to Mecca. I have no brothers or sons, no husband, my father, grandfathers and uncles are all dead. As far as I know I have no living male relatives. Would I be able to go or not?

I need to finish my homemade wooden knitting needles. Should I use oil or wax to finish them? Any brand recommendations?

I have three cats all about 11 years old. One is fat (23 pounds); one is average, but he has that bladder thing some neutered males get, so I buy special cat food -- all three have been eating it for 5 years or so. The third has lost weight recently. She will eat anything I offer her from the table, and begs at every meal. She is also bullied by the mid-sized cat. I have cat food available at all times, and I wonder if she's afraid to eat cat food, for fear of being attacked, but feels safe eating from my hand; I will not allow bullying behavior in my presence. The other two do not seem interested in table scraps. Any ideas?
