for me a college education is a top priority in my life at this point....after being out of high school for 21 yrs I decided to start college after hearing from various ppl in my life that I won't ever amount to anything....why go to college when you'll never finish etc.I decided to go to college to prove those ppl wrong and to prove to myself that yes I can do it........a high school diploma is good enough if you want to work low paying jobs but a college degree will get you a higher paying job

A college education doesn't guarantee you a good job, but it opens doors that would otherwise be closed. In order to get a job that pays well enough for you to make a decent living, you must have either (a) a college education, (b) specialized training in your field, like vocational training, (c) actual experience doing the job, or (d) a combination of the three. Most employers won't even consider you for a job if you don't have a college degree or specialized training and/or experience in the field you're applying to. The degree that you get at the end of a 4-year program tells an employer that you have the discipline and perseverance to get that degree, and that goes a long way in a job interview. So unless you want to spend the rest of your life working twice as hard someone else and making half as much, get a college education or go through a vocational/technical training program.

Actually, depends on you. If you think you qualify better for an employment then a college education could get you a beter job.
If the entrepreneurial spirit and self motivation are your strengths, the money spent on college (being as ridiculously high) is better invested in a business. Even if the business fails you would have learnt something more valuable than you could have from college.
On the other hand, if you are rich to begin with and can afford college without going into debt, consider college as a pleasant journey that is best experienced when you break out of teenage.

A high school diploma and a college education are VERY!!! important. Y would you drop out of high school and not go to college? If you don't get your diploma you could end up working at a restraunt or something and still living with your parents! My advice DON'T drop out and GET your diploma so that you WILL be able to get a college education and not be living with your parents because you have a high paying job that YOU qualify for.

Depends on what job you get. I have a college education, but when no one would hire me, I ended up working for the Post Office, and I didn't even need a High School diploma for that., But if you want to be a doctor or a lawyer, a High School diploma won't do.
