1/2 onion, chopped
4 cups frozen mixed vegetables

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray 9x13 glass baking dish with cooking spray.
Spread hamburger into bottom of pan, covering entire bottom, gently tamping beef down. Sprinkle with diced onions. Layer frozen veggies as next layer. Cover with the soup, straight from the can, carefully spreading with spatula to cover entirely.
Layer tater tots on top, covering entire top with tots. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees) for 1 hour, or until hamburger is done. Check after 30 minutes; if tots are getting too brown, turn down to 350 degrees F (190 degrees C).

1 cup onion, chopped
½ cup celery, chopped

Stir soup, corn, picante sauce, chili powder, and pepper into beef mixture. Spoon into ungreased 2 ½-quart casserole dish. Top with potato nuggets.

Bake uncovered 40 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

This is the recipe I use for the casserole, but I've omitted the ground beef for you. It ought to still be good. TATER TOT CASSEROLE 1 can French style green beans, drained 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 Cup milk (instead of 3/4 Cup, since there is less food) 1 small box tater tots 1 Cup shredded cheese salt and pepper, optional Layer green beans on bottom of casserole dish. Then spread the tater tots on top. Stir together milk and soup and pour over all. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Bake (uncovered) at 350 degrees for one hour. Allow to sit at least 15 minutes before serving. You might want to check it after it has been baking for 30 minutes and see how it is doing. With the reduced total volume, I'd expect the dish to take about 45 minutes rather than an hour.

What I do...on the stove I fry up some onions in a saucepan in a little oil. Add either cut up pieces of chicken although you can use other types of meat. Lightly brown. Add vegetables...either a frozen mixture of different vegetables like corn, carrots, peas,green beans or use a can or two of each. Add a can of cream of chicken soup plus one can of liquid (water or broth). Simmer together for 10 to 15 minutes. When it is thickened, pour into a pyrex dish that has been greased. Layer the tater tots on the mixture. Put in oven on medium to high heat till the tator tots are golden brown. Serve with a tossed salad. Enjoy!
