I have a friend that is interested in becoming a police officer so she goes on ride alongs with police officer
Is it right for the police officer to sexually man handle her just because she is there and too shy to tell him to stop?

Is she already appointed or just trying to get into the department? Whatever be the case, she has to be bold enough to oppose him.. If she cant protect herself, how can she protect the society???

I had a "somewhat" similar situation. I can't say I was exactly man-handled, but nonetheless was uncomfortable. If she is going into law enforcement, shyness is an issue. She can do several things in her situation.
(1) She could approach him and tell her how she feels about it. This is what I did (like I said I wasn't man-handled...would have tazed him with his own tazer had I been...lol). I talked to the officer, told him what I thought about the situation, what I wanted to see done, etc. If she asserts her authority the officer is likely to back off.
(2) Go to the police chief. When my situation got a little out of hand again, I went to the chief and sat down with him and told him what was going on. Things got a WHOLE hell of a lot better after that.
(3) Stop doing ridealongs, report the officer, and move on with her life, maybe rethink her choice of law enforcement as a career.
Some male cops can be relentless. Sexual comments run rampant. I know too many cops who just don't know how to act around women when on the job, its a hazard of the uniform...cuts off too much oxygen to the brain (in some officers at least). Sexual innuendos are a daily thing and so the razing. Cops are relentless on one another, the teasing is worse than it was in middle school, its just bad. You have to be able to take the verbal ****, but under no circumstance should you be sexually handled by your ride along officer, no way no how. That is assualt and your friend needs to put a stop to it.

If she can't protect herself, how she would be able to handle the criminals after becoming a Police Officer? I wonder how she will qualify if she is so shy?
If she is not asking him to stop to harass sexually, she must be willing herself also to have a sex with that officer.

Hey that's why they call it a ride along anyway. Is the officer not giving her mustache rides or what? And you didn't say how old your friend was they can be on a ride along at any age.

she should report him to the chief of police, if he's going to do that to her as she's riding along, he may do it to someone else who needs protection. that is called sexual harrassment and is against the law. if the chief of police won't do anything about it, she should contact an attorney and sue the police department.

With your local Police Department regardless if the cop you want to file against works in that same local department.

does she want to become a police officer, or does she want to become pregnant?

to shy to tell him?????? god forbid if she was raped would she be "to shy" to do anything abouit it??? your friend needs to wake up and stand up for herself and report him. its women like HER than make it so easy for men to be like that

no its not right, but theres nothing she can do about it. its her word versus the cops, and who do you think they will believe?
