We do not love because we are family but we are family because we love! Any wise thoughts on this?

    I agree, we are not obliged to love people just because we are related to them, we love people because they bring peace and joy into our lives. we are not required to put up with people to make us miserable just because they are family, we just forgive them, wish them peace and let them go. when they are ready to be loved, they'll come back to us.
