Legal??? Darn, there goes best answer! Okay... broke... get out the guitar at Christmas time and play right outside the mission, make sure that you don't wear a leather coat, warm boots, or smoke a cig while you are playing... bankrupt... ah! there's that legal thing again! Well, try taking one coffee off your daily menu and putting your two dollars in a jar... one beer, one smoke, one item a day... put yer money in a jar and see what you net tax free in a month. Hungry... no legal issues here .. hee hee... local food banks have some goodies to give away.. not the best menu on the planet, but edible and fills an empty belly faster that keeping your pride and walking away... desperate.. you are never that far from home... EVER... tuck it in, put the pride away, and pick up the phone.

I don’t think I’m going to even try to be legal if I’m in that position :-p and I don’t really know how to be creative - I'm good at being myself, though.

And I know I’ve got friends who would tell me that that’s what friends are for.

Suppose I’m a goody-goody who goes everything by law and I didn’t have any friend I could depend on. I would find a farm or a ranch owner who would provide me food and shelter in exchange for my labour.

If I am to bend the law a little, I would fish, hunt and pick wild fruits for food, and sleep in a farmer’s garage (they keep the heaters on 24 hours in Alberta so that farm equipments run in the mornings.)

I could do these things because I don’t live in Tokyo, though.

We supposedly invaded Afghanistan because of the fact the Osama bin encumbered had education camps there, which kinda sorta is suited, regardless of the undeniable fact that what I hear is that we had to run some pipelines by using way of there, additionally I honestly have heard the drugs are extensive money for unique human beings in the deal, almost all the poppy's are grown there because of the fact the the interior of sight climate is right, and from poppy's they make heroin and different stuff, the Pakistan ISI secret service is heavily in touch, we worked by using way of them for the size of the conflict with Russia to help the Afghans, then noted because of the fact the Mujahadeen, i assume the Taliban is particularly plenty an identical adult males, only yet yet yet again and set of activities.

I can't think of anything creative at that point in life.

I was broke, bankrupt, and unemployed. But I dont recall ever being hungry or desperate.

My unemployment led to unemployment benefits, when that ran out, I got welfare, on welfare, I got a diploma, after I got a part time job. Really self employment, for 13 years.

Its not creative but its a reality and its legal and honest.

The driving force is the desire to overcome adversity.

I would call on family and friends to let me live quietly under their roof while I work at any job at all. Hopefully over time I could work into a better position.

....I did four years in Califorinia with nothing but a sleeping bag and backpack......Food not bombs and Krishna kept me fed and the sun kept my spirits up. read some Kerouac or watch the old Kung Fu to see how to live on virtually nothing. Berkeley is a haven for these lost desperate souls. Your only in a transition phase it seems to me.....enjoy the ride and stay strong.

That was me over 30 years ago. I stayed with some friends after I lost my apartment and found a new job. It was just waiting tables but it got me back on my feet and then I went to business school
