Why is the U.S. only sending $500,000 dollars as emergency relief after 3,500 people have been killed and thousands injured? That's $142.86 per dead person,...that's far less than the cost of being buried and there's still thousands of living people who need help. Is the U.S. really a 'super' power if it is without compassion for anyone outside its borders?

Has anyone been in the situation where you've been hired only to find out that you have more experience, credentials, and knowledge than your boss...who happens to be a control freak and asks you to do everything wrong just because he/she doesn't know any better? This is stressing me out! Advice from anyone who has been in the same situation...please.
