Do you think abortion will be made illegal again in the USA?

I'm Canadian and am very proud that we give women ownership on their bodies. It sickens me to see Bush chipping away at already weakened legal abortion law.

I don't think it will be made illegal. Although I have 2 children and never had an abortion, I am still pro-choice. There's a book called Freakonomics that had an interesting article about how a Russian dictator in the early 1900's made abortion illegal, and about 20 yrs after doing so, Russia's crime rate skyrocketed from all of the young men born to mothers who did not want them, couldn't care for them properly because of the severe poverty from the dictator's mismanagement and embezzlement of funds for his own personal use, and therefore were predisposed to commiting heinous crimes. That dictator and his wife were killed by a revolt from the starving and crime riddled masses that were angry over the misuse of power. The only reason the US experienced a dramatic drop in crime in the 1990's is not because of the drug war and cracking down on guns, but because of Roe vs. Wade that brought about all of the abortions that took away children that would have been born to mothers who didn't want them and couldn't care for them in severe poverty, taking out a big section of society that would have been ripe for committing crimes. Brutal way to keep crime down, but abortion has been used for centuries in this manner. If Bush is really idiotic enough to eradicate abortion, then he will have to scrap his plans to cut down on Medicaid, welfare, and food stamps, or the US will have a hideous problem on it's hands in a couple of decades.

And for all the people advocating adoption over abortion, every country on Earth has a surplus of available babies, and I don't see these same people being Angelina Jolie and adopting these babies. Shut your mouth and practice what you preach.

Abortion on request desires to require the approval of the organic and organic father because if the guy needs the toddler that's not her selection to abort it, a useless ringer for in international locations which includes Japan or South Korea! And no, that's not 'her body', that's the guy's toddler!

No, your through... Done... Sex is good but why not have alternative methods rather than murdering a living being. Like birth control. Abstention if you can do it. A fetus is an innocent living being dependent on their mothers protection. Certain types of abortion are and should be legal but not to accommodate promiscuity.

If women are so proud to have ownership of their bodies, then why do they not take responsibility for their actions when they have created a life? Is a heartbeat with blood running through a fetus not life? It sickens me that a woman would kill an unborn child when there are women who would love to have a child, but are unable to.

it sickens me to listen to people that think that what a woman is carrying isn't a child that was made bc two people did exactly whats needed to happen to make that child.

i dont care what the reason, you are a sick son of a b**** if you want to kill your child whether its one year old or one week in the womb.

As long as there is the possibility that a Republican mother from Texas can have a son that will weasle into the Presidency the right to abortion will be maintained.

No, there's about that much chance as a snowball's in H E double hockey sticks. Besides, the American public is finally starting to wake up and see what a total idiot Dubya is and he won't last the through the next election.

No. The 10th Amendment says that all matters not specifically reserved for the federal government revert to the states. Real conservatives want the Constitution to be upheld.

BTW, if women did not have sex until they were married and ready to have children, 99% of abortions would not be needed. Abortion is not a her body choice, it is a result of irresponsible behavior.

  • duh!!!!!!!!!!! the usa is mostly against abortions. they just haven't gotten to the point to where they need to make it illegal. when the abortion rates are higher then they will consider it and it will most likely become illeagal. they want babys to live see the world and anyways they need to people to work when you get old. less workers means less money to your family, united states, and everyone else because if no one can do the job then they can't trade and money will be lost.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
