My roommates have stinky house guests? What to do?

If you are paying your share of the rent or mortgage, then you have a say-so about who shares your space. You need to talk to your roommates in a pleasant, mature way. Express your concerns, and ask them to brainstorm with you to come up with a solution that is fair and acceptable to all of you. Maybe the guests could stay a shorter period of time. Certainly, your roommates could purchase (dollar store) a supply of soaps, shampoo and deodorant for their friends and ask them to use the products.

If they are unwilling to work with you on this, maybe it's time to look for another place to live. As long as you are paying your part, it's your home too, and you have rights. You have the right to feel safe in your own surroundings, and you have the right to expect

your furnishings to remain in reasonably good shape - that is, not smell to high heaven.

Time for a talk, but you must sensitive to your friends' feelings. In turn, they should respect your opinions and work with you on this issue.

Speak your mind! Use a disinfectant spray on the sofa then febreeze. When they first get there let them know where the bath/shower is and when You think is the best open time for them to shower each day it kind of puts them on the spot.. Or say Oh i'am sure you would love to have a shower after all that traveling just to feel human again.

lots of febreeze will help the smell, spray it all over the place while the houseguest is in the room. so they get the point that you smell them, are your roomies mentally impared? my son in law was a paranoid schitzophrenic and most all his friends were the unwashed as well, it seems to be a problem with people who are a bit mentally unhinged, thank god my daughter got rid of him.

man what a bummer!dealing with people who smell bad is very touchy. let them know they are welcome to shower ...buy some cheap deodorant and kinda say hey.got this if you want its brand new not my brand..buy smelly candles...lysol spray good luck you could talk about it to roommates but try to be kind

YOU'VE GOT TO CONFRONT THE ISSUE ....YOU SHOULDN'T FEEL UNSAFE IN YOUR OWN HOME!!!

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A LOCK ON YOUR DOOR THAT YOU CAN LOCK WHILE YOU'RE AWAY.....

YOU'RE ROOMATE NEEDS TO BE MORE CONSIDERATE

WHENEVER THEY ARE THERE SPRAY ROOM FRESENER THATS WHAT I DID NEVER SAW THEM AGAIN BUT HELL THE ODOR WAS GONE!
