Wait until the kitten comes home and see what his personality is like. He might be a Romeo or he might be a Spike. Sometimes you can just look at them and an appropriate name just pops into your head.

Romeo is quite a funny name for a kitten, but we all know how handsome cats get when they're older ;-) He'll be a ladies man!
I personally like funny names like Muffin, Noodle, Pogo, Banana, Fraggle etc.
Since he's a grey tabby, why don't you name him Nermal after Garfield's little 'friend'?

The best names often go out the window because they don't suit the cat's personality!
I have a cat called GOOFY because he's kind of slow and looks like a misfit, and good ol' KITTY because we just couldn't think of a good name!! He is a pedigree and his name was 'Antonias Olivier' what a laugh!! We called him CHOKO but eventually he just became kitty. I guess because he's so affectionate??
Also I had a cat called REX because he turned out to be a fantastic mouse hunter, after Rex Hunt. Then there was PETER PUSS some years ago and CHARLIE because he always got himself into trouble.
Give it a few days or so, when you know your cat's character it will come to you.

Hello I just got a kitten about 5 weeks ago and I wanted to call her Porsche but when I saw her she just so wasnt that name so I called her Millie.
There is a good website for cats names and you put in what your cat looks like and his personality and it will bring up loadsa names.
But I like Chaz dont ask why it just sounds cool

I can't tell you what to name your cat, but I will tell you that you should give it a name with at least two syllables. Cats respond better to those names. I am partial to the name Stanley for a male tabby.

I think Zuker has a good idea. I never named my cats until I saw their personality. Or I just thought of a name while looking at them and then named them. Hope this helps.

Use composer's names like Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Handel, or you can name it after an artist or someone that you liked in history.
Best wait to see the personality, though. I got a cat, whom I named Flower, but she turned out to be a Rascal, and it stuck.

Now think of what you like to do most or what is your best thing in life.
I think a new tabby kitten is great for you to name him what your favourite thing. If you like shopping for example, maybe its unique.
Good luck.
And congratulation to the new addition to the family.

I don't know the name of the cat but you know the grey kitten in cat's and dog's the movie, I think you should name him that name!
