I would not recommend it. There is a noise ordinance in every city. You can have you car impounded if you exceed the noise level. Not to mention removing the exhaust at the cat may allow CO (Carbon monoxide) to enter the passenger compartment. As we all know this is a poisonous gas that can kill. This is the more important part aside from anything else. There is also the possibility of the cooler air warping the valves when the motor is turned off. This does happen on some cars where the exhaust has been modified and made shorter. Not recommended.

hey bro if u are force inducted i e turbo or supercharged do it open down pipe is great but if u are natraully asperiated dont do it u will lose some low end power due to a loss in backpressure in the exhaust...u wanna maintan some sorta back pressure if u want to increase the powerjust go out and re do ur carsreathing system intake header and exhaust..but byjust t aken of the exhaust system all u will do is hurt ur car

An hp increase of anything I doubt.Most likely it will sound like crap,and if you have an emission control program where you live,will piss off the tech trying to perform the test.And it could affect the results of said test.Leaving the cat on would help.

A car is made to get you from A to B not to make it sound like its falling apart. No one cares that your car is loud or fast. i own a shop,and it probably will hurt the running part of it,i have seen some of them actually run a lot worse after removing this,so you might want to think about it,those cars was designed to run with so much back pressure on them,and if you don't have enough it will fall on its face,so id think about it before i did it,good luck i hope this helps.

Cuz it is illegal, catalytic coverter are designed to prevent harmful gas created in the combustion chamber to the enviroment.

You will fail the emision test, but once again, it is illegal!!
