I've lost 14 lbs. in 14 days. Is that normal?

I stopped eating junk food. I eat salad for lunch and a very light dinner. I drink plenty of water too. Is is safe to lose that much so fast?

No that's not safe or healthy. On average, weight loss should be 1-2 lbs per week. Often, when you are first dieting, you'll lose a bit more initially, but after a couple of weeks it gets stable.

It takes 3500 caloriesto burn 1 lb of fat, so you must not be eating enough. Are you over exercising? 40-45 minutes 3-5 times a week is enough. Make sure you are eating the required amount of calories you need for your body (check your bmr by typing BMR calculator in Google and finding a webpage with one). You need to have 5 or so small meals throughout the day. Don't skip breakfeast!

If this persists, and you are being healthy, I would see a doctor becaus that's abnormal and dangerous.

Cut out as much fat as you can from your diet. Milk, peanut butter, most dairy products. Also access sugar and salt. Don't eat any carbs after 6pm. For dinner I'd recommend a green salad with maybe some tuna or baked chicken. Eat foods with a high water content (most fruits and vegetables). They will make you feel fuller, and you can pee or sweat out the water later. Do NOT spend all day in the sauna. I'd say no more than an hour at a time. You can sip a little bit of water to keep your mouth wet. Do not do this sauna stuff without someone there to look out for you. Weigh yourself before you go in and weigh yourself periodically so that you don't overshoot your goal. Also, do it on the 13th if the weigh-ins are at night, which has been my experience. There's no need to be dried out for a day. In fact, the day of weigh ins, just concentrate on nothing but cutting weight if you can. Speaking of the scale, weigh yourself every morning when you wake up to give yourself a good idea of what you really weigh. Make it after you go to the bathroom. On your weigh-in day that will be your starting point. Also weigh yourself before and after every workout to give yourself an idea of how much water you sweat out through training. Start running more. Do more sprints and total-body movements in your workouts. Run at least once every day until the day of weigh ins. Increase your general water intake. This will make you feel less hungry, and will also make you pee more often. In fact, a couple days out from your weigh-ins I'd suggest doubling your water intake, then cutting back over the next few days. The surge in water intake will make you pee like a racehorse for a few days, so you'll lose more water that way than you normally would. At your current weight, ten pounds really isn't a whole lot. Just try not to overdo it. Talk to the guys at your gym that have done it before. Closely monitor your progress. You don't want to drop too much too fast, but you also don't want to sweat out five pounds right before you weigh in (although that's doable). Stay safe, and good luck in the tourney.

Your new habits sound healthy, but 14 pounds in 14 days is a lot of weight to lose. How do you feel?

The recommended weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week. At that rate people lose fat more than muscle and can keep the weight off.

Not safe nor healthy. Are you taking any diet pills? Salad for lunch and very light dinner? You're not giving your body the food it needs. 3 sensible meals a day and exercise is the healthiest way to lose weight.

And when you lose weight that fast, it tends to bounce right back on. When you lose weight slowly, you're actually losing fat and that is likely not to come back.

It depends on your current health status, are you overweight? Do you really need to loose 14 lbs in 14 days. Yes it can be done if supervised properly, but there are many hazards, be careful and see a doctor and see what a doctor has to say.

If you are/were overweight, then no it's pretty normal, the weight falls off at the start of a sudden change in diet like that, and it's mostly just water weight, but im pretty sure 14 lbs, some will be body fat... so keep it up. :)

It's definitely not safe or healthy. Eat something!
