Save your money! My husband & I both worked on cruise ships for 6 years + and both found our jobs without this.
Just go to the different lines sites, I think they all have employment opportunities posted.
Don't know about NCL but we both worked for Holland America for most of our ship time & really feel they treat their staff & crew better than most. Princess was good too, but didn't seem as open to people transfering between departments to get better positions. Hubby worked for Celebrity and hated it. A friend worked for Royal Caribbean and like it but they didn't seem to pay as well as Holland America.
Ships are different than buildings, so as mentioned ceilings can be low and spaces tight, that's just ship life.
It's hard work, lots of fun and a great way to save money if your motivated.

I could fill not just one book with that experience. It is hard work, 7 days a week, 12 and more hours a day, for 6 months and more. Guests can be unfriendly, mean and just unreasonable, so can be higher ranked officers. There is a great hierarchy onboard ships, a lot of rules and regulations and also safety training you need to go through. Yet it is also fun to meet people from different countries, travel and expand your horizon. Communication with family and friends is difficult at times, yet it is a good place to make a career, if that is what is wanted. One can safe money, since room and board is included, and life can be rather comfortable, depending on one's position. There is a big difference between being a waitress or a cleaning person and all depends for what reasons you want to go work on a ship. In reference to a comment you received earlier - I did not go onboard a ship because I could not find a job in my home country. I went for the experience and to broaden my knowledge, adding something special to my CV. I then just happened to make a career onboard and stay for 12 years. Yet one needs to realize that life is very different onboard and your co-workers also become your "friends". Like on a small isolated island. Yet one also learns that certain things we think are so important are in reality not so. And while the time onboard is not always fun and easy - it also is at times and we had a lot of funny stories happen. Other downfalls are, that there is not much of privacy and sharing a room with one or more people calls for some adjustment.

Save your money! If you locate a cruise ship on the home page a carrer section can be found It can be alittle effort but if you seek youll find!
NCL ,of America, Is a shady organization, I dont know about any others, read custmer reveiws most have been deceived and not reimbusied, as an employee, tips are added in cost of the cruis and is figured at only 10% and thats not much.they allowed thier employees to believe thier were big tips but the ship had gone to all plastic debt cards so thier isnt any cash on board,,, another down fall because they feel theyved already paid the tip
thiers ALOT OF ILLNESS ON BOARD BUT NEVER AN EXCUSED absence DONT MATTER HOW SICK YOU ARE!
THE CREW POOL ON THE PRIDE OF HAWAII IS NO BIGGER THAN A JACUZII AND ITS LOCATED DIRECTLY UNDER THE WHEEL HOUSE WHERE THE CAPTIN STANDS AND THEY OBSERVE EVERY MOVE YOU MAKE THEIR IS NO PRIVACY( also my freind is @6 fT
and most any one over 5,7 is too tall for the exercise room,
honest to God the ceiling is that low , if you dont work up top yYOU can NEVER go up on the DECK< so be selective at what you apply for ,They were traing every dept you must pass thier test to work, but the information is execellent and you can use any where for ever looks impresive on a resumae
But if you just want a trip to hawaii & money isnt a big deal right now Apply, theyll take you thrua training cours and pay a small wage, and you live at a isolated faciluty its like military traing and the goal is to break you and make you more submisive most every one over 1000 employees ,I know of have quit and 300 had just walked off board,,, after arriving to hawaii they fly you to thier faciluty out in the middle of no where, and you cant leave the compound, you cant choose your roomates, theykeep you @6 weeks or longer threatening you that air far is costly so dont quit,,It s manditory you join the union, and they immeadtly begin deducting union wages from your check,if you dont join youve just wasted 6 weeks of your life ,then send you back were you come from, shoes are manditory and they deduct those also from your pay aswell
If you have any violations warrents past arrest things of that nature Again you may not qualify if you logg on to www. us coast guard, look for MMD(merchant mareners document)
& stcw both are required to work on cruise ships,SO if they hire you and find any thing they let you go
It was a bad experaince for most....tourism and travel is to be afun position, not boot camp. but if you go knowing THEY ARE OUT TO GET YOU then chances are you can be ahead of the game. And if they are still paying for the training the LIcences, that may be worth it
but thats just NCL, Im certain their are some worth while If you like people ITS a GREAT Adventure! And an experiance well worth while
well bon voyage or aloha

It's a scam
you can apply directly to the cruise lines for free - most have a careers section on their site

Total scam.... any place who wants to hire you will NOT ever ask for an application fee. After all, you are doing them a service just as much as they are for you. Don't do it friend.
