The day I had a moment of clarity about my alcoholism was the day my life changed forever. 7 years sober and proud of it!

Three days before my first child was due they could not find a heartbeat and in that moment I changed. Some for the better, some for the worse. I am a very different person today than I was that day. I am a better mother, and a better person. But I am also haunted by the horrors that could be. I am very cynical and somewhat afraid to be happy.

Life should not define you. You choose to be what you are.

(way to go first answerer, that is great!!)

    answer:

The day I had my children. You experience an instant Love like nothing you have ever experienced before or ever will. They made me instantly change from just a woman into a mother.

That is something that is forever life changing. When they are little they step on your toes, when they grow up and leave, they step on your heart....someone said.......
