Let him rest for a couple of days. Make sure he drinks if you have take water to him. He should bounce back soon. I had mine done last week and while my male didn't miss a beat, my female took a couple of days to get over it. If he's not himself in a couple of days, call the vet.

Give him another day before you worry. The anesthesia takes time to wear off, and perhaps he got a bit more than the vet expected, so he went under more deeply.
Usually, they will sleep the first day, and not eat. So if you picked him up the evening of the neutering, he still might be less than energetic the next day. Beyond that, give your vet a call. It could be a reaction to the anesthesia.

Your kitty is probably in pain and may still be feeling the effects of the anesthesia. My cats all took it easy for the first couple of days after their surgeries but they were moving around the day after. If I were you, I'd give the vet a call and tell him/her that you're concerned and see what is recommended. I was told to give 1/4 of a baby aspirin every other day for one of my cats for her pain but I would see what your vet says. I'm sure everything's fine but it never hurts to make sure.

Thats normal... the first day out they are still coming out of the anesthesia. Make sure he has lots of water. If he is still the same 3 days after he surgery then take him back to the vet. But the usual recovery period is 3 days for cats.

The time it takes to heal depends on the pet. Anesthesia used, post operative pain medication and temperment may also play a part on how long it takes for your pet to recover. I would not be concerned, as I have seen many animals that just want to sleep it off. Offer him water and have food nearby if he chooses to eat. If you are really concerned, call your vet and ask his/her opinion.

He's probably just sulking, cats are good at that, but if he hasn't eaten a proper meal by tomorrow morning then give the vet a ring just in case, the anaesthetic can make some pets ill.

Give him time.
The anesthesia knocks them out.
Mine took at least 2 days to start acting like himself again.
You really shouldnt let them eat too soon after surgery. They can vomit and choke.
I'm surprised the vet didnt tell you this.
He will eat when he is ready.
Good for you for neutering!
You get a star :)

The anesthesia takes a while to wear off. He'll probably be fine by the end of today.
The big question is, before you got him fixed, did he know he was broken? :)

the anesthesia is still in his system, which makes him only want to sleep. i would moniter him, be sure he is drinking water & using the litter box, & if he isn't better in a day or so take him back to the vet.

I would think it is normal but i it continues tomorrow I would call the vet to be sure all is well. In fact, why don't you call the vet now to reassure yourself, you'll feel better.
