    Broken Knuckles

This one time when I went to a amusement park, there was a punching bag to show how strong you are, and I must've punched in the wrong way cause my hand immediately hurt. I went to the doctor and after x rays showed me that I had broke a part of finger right above my pinkie, close to the knuckle. The way you know something is broken, is if the swelling doesnt go away, and it continually hurts.

I would go get that checked out immediately especially since it doesnt sound like it has gotten better. The shiny skin thing could be a very bad sign. If you are worried about how much it will cost think about if you have some permanent disfunction with your hands....makes work very hard! As an emt im not one to tell people to go to the hospital for every bump and bruise but i would definately suggest that you go.

Hm... I'd say go to the hospital and ask for an X-Ray. Make a bit of a deal about it, otherwise you'll be left waiting for hours (Personal experience on this one, broke my thumb about a year ago.) In the meantime, take a painkiller, get some ice wrapped in kitchen roll to put on your knuckle and put a plaster on the shiny skin to prevent infection.

Use cold compresses on new injuries like banged knuckles...warm ones on bruises and after 2-3 days. Swelling sould have gone down by now so you could feel if bone end (knuckle) is loosely floating...soak in warm epsom salts to ease pain and swelling.

Not much can be done except allowing it to heal on its own...forget x-rays. IMHO...in my humble opinion...

You can't break your knuckle. It's a joint. You've probably strained it or tore some muscles. Still a good idea to get it x-rayed.

It sounds like it could be broken but it could also only b cracked soak it in cold water to see if the swelling goes down it should help with the pain

Could be fractured or sprained, take a popcycle stick and tape it to it,aint no need for a hospital x ray bill. It'll heal.
