Sharing my testimony - unique ideas?
I am a Christian and have been asked to come share my testimony at a local church. I am also a photographer, and the church has asked me to somehow encoorporate my pictures with my testimony. I have to figure out how in the world I am going to do that. Any creative ideas on how I can display my photography, my ministry, and convey my testimony at the same time?
Yes, I will do some sort of a powerpoint or slideshow presentation. I mean, what sort of pictures should I post? When should I post them? Should I add anything? Music? Words? Something..
My ministry IS my photography

The combinations of the two fields are filled with potential. Depending on what you speak about, your photos can be shown in a slide show to show God's work in nature, mankind, etc. For example:
* Show a photo of a homeless man next to a man in a business suit. Ask which one is your neighbor.
* Show a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, and ask if the caterpillar thinks the struggle is worth it at the time.
* Show a beautiful sunset, and ask if anyone doubts that an Intelligent Being created that glory.
* Take photos of random acts of kindness. Reference "whatsoever you do to the least of my people, that you do unto me" (Matthew 25:40). Ask the crowd if they feel that they, too, have treated the least of Christ's people as they would treat Christ.
And the possibilities go on. Anytime someone would use their imagination to 'picture' something about which you are speaking, put a representative photo there.
Good luck!

First of all Congrats!! I have been a Christian for a while now, and it is definelty life changing! Well first of all, NOBODY has a "boring" testimony...and I hate when ppl say they do, cause everybody has gone through at least 1 struggle in there life about (their lives) or Christian faith....so list every number and bullet about your life. And I ♥ making slideshows so that would be a great way to show of your photography skills and also a great way to share the faith! I hope this helps!

Well what is your ministry?
If someone were to follow my "ministry" they could get plenty of pictures of me packing bags for the food pantry, getting coffee for the homeless guy that lives in the bus terminal every morning that we're both there, collecting letters to our soldiers from the neighborhood, organizing a clothing drive or putting up signs advertising the Blood Drive.
If you can't document your ministry with pictures, then what could you possibly be testifying about?
Oh, and just for the record - I am NOT Christian.

Perhaps you can show pictures relating to the people and places that have something to do with the chain of events that led to your conversion. Or maybe you could show old pictures of you at different times in your life and relate your spiritual condition or experiences up to that time.

i think it is strange that people anticipate testimonies like it is entertainment. your testimony is yours and if you're going to share it you might as well do so in hopes of guiding someone else's. it is what it is and the Lord makes it beautiful.
Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
pray over it.

Choose pictures that reflect memories or a time in your life or in nature where you feel the Lord spoke to your heart and then what God has done in your life as a photographer.

Picture #1: this is your brain on crack
Picture #2: this is your brain on religion.
That ought to do it.
