My cat WILL NOT stop peeing all over my house, what is wrong with her?!?

I've had her for over 2.5 yrs & one of her babies for 2 yrs. the baby NEVER pees anywhere she's not supposed to unless i'm cleaning out their box or it's too messy for them. the problem cat did this when she was pregnant & does it when i'm gone for too long, but for the past week, she's been peeing ALL OVER my apt! at first i thought her box was too dirty, but i've been cleaning it once a day. it's one of those automatic cleaning boxes, so it scoops every time they go in there. i've had that for about a yr too, so that can't be the problem. not 5 hrs after i cleaned it, she peed in there again. they have their own big closet for the cat stuff i call the "cat bathroom". she's peed in there 5x in the past few days, in my hallway, in my shower & on a rug in the kitchen. i have hardwood floors, so this CANNOT continue. i've even had to get puppy pads for her! is she sick? she threw up once but other than that & the peeing she's been acting normal. is she mad about something? help? : (

Update:

thanks so much so far! to answer your questions: she was only a year old when i got her. she was homeless and had no idea she was pregnant. i actually named her "mr. pooples" because she was so matted i couldn't tell she was a girl. i took her to the vet and she had four babies 2 weeks later. of all the homeless cats in my town i picked the pregnant one! they are both spayed and both girls.

TAKE HER TO THE VET. She probably has a urinary tract infection. Often when a cat suddenly changes behavior like that it's a medical problem. I sure hope all your cats are neutered now. There are too many homeless cats, we don't need more of them.

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!

Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...

Sounds like someone has a Urinary Tract Infection. Call the vet. She needs antibiotics

Take the cat to the VET ASAP... most of this problem is health! How old is your cat?

Other than if not sick, how often do you clean your litter? is she spayed? Did you try different brand?

What gender is the baby kitten? If the kitten is female, the mother might be trying to establish dominance; peeing everywhere is how she is marking off the territory that belongs to her. That way the baby kitten doesn't try anything to take over in dominance.

try giving her more attention..and punish her if she pees again outside of the box..and if she goes in the boxreward her or tell her how good she is...cats LOVE that!!

Good Luck..I hope you break her of that!!

If she previously used the litterbox, then have her checked for a urinary tract or kidney infection.
