do cats eat or will they eat ground moles?

Update:

let me rephrase it..ummm, i am not feeding a cat moles..it is my land lord's cat and she is saying that we are over run with ground moles because her cat is afraid of my dog..and by the way my dog is only outside to go to the bathroom..and she feeds her cat way too much.

Moles can be eaten, but they have to be out of the ground and available as prey, which they don't often do since they can't see well. What the cat will catch is shrews and mice most likely. Any feral cat will be doing the same thing--but nothing can catch a mole that stays underground where it knows it's safe.

Yes, cats will eat ground moles. My cat caught and ate a small mole last week. It is a rarity for them to eat them as they usually just kill them and then leave it.

Though the better advice is to rid the lawn of the grubs that are the mole's food source. If she gets rid of the moles and keep the grubs, her lawn will suffer.

Cats eat CAT FOOD. No, they will NOT eat ground moles, mice, rats, birds or anything else. They catch any play with these creatures until said creature actually drops dead. After that, most cats bring their owners their "catch of the day" as a "present", but rarely will they eat them.
