If u wanna spend multi billion dollars for regrowth your economy u can't use terrorists .. as u know ICBMs isn't use full for terrorist hunt. Or brand new aircraft carrier or new jet fighters design for dogfight (last time I've check terrorists don't have any Mig's)

U.S economy needs a hard push for grow again .. a old foe was perfect target for do that .. when U.S and Allies spend billions for buy shiny weapons putin reach his private target too.

He always said same think .. We need Keep Our Position Against America, World Need More Then ONE Superpower .. he believed this and he never stops himself to said that.

.. he want take back his crown, he wanna be a new Czar .. This is a Game, a Big Game. a perfect Win-Win situation isn't?

problem is .. someone must paid those invoices, guess who?

You've gotta be kidding. Georgia was the one who invaded Russia, not the other way around. Plus, even if it were true, I'll take it for granted that you're being sarcastic. I lived in fear of the cold war and nuclear annihilation when I was a kid. I lived near enough to a major city that I never would have known what hit me, and I live even closer to that city now.

I've been to Russia. They can not annihilate us but they are infuriated enough to cause us some grief. The U.S. is making enemies faster than we can kill them. Our arrogant attitude is alienating our allies quickly. I don't know if our nuclear superiority is enough to scare them into always agreeing with us but it is enough to create some serious false friends.

With GWB at the helm we could be headed for disaster. Fortunately, his narrow minded term is almost up. Let's hope we don't get GWB II in office or we'll continue the same alienation as before.

As strong as we are militarily, if China, Russia, Korea and Cuba united, we could be in some serious hurt. We better work on our negotiating skills and start humbling ourselves a little. It would contribute a lot to world peace.

jewish propaganda and scare tactics?? lol... THAT'S ABSURD...

anyways, to answer your question.. the Russians have been chomping at the bit to show the world they are not a Cold War afterthought.. something to think about, it takes weeks to mobilize troop levels that Putin and his cronies used to invade Georgia.. they must have had them waiting in the weeds.. scary thought.. and so is the thought of another Cold War.. or World War..

Christopher, reports indicate that Georgia has been repeatedly attacked by pro-Moscow seperatists from the disputed regions.. Georgia simply decided it was time to do something about it.. i don't blame them.. not to mention Putin had sent "peacekeepers" to the area.. so if there were a riot in Los Angeles and some Latinos were involved, i guess it would be ok for Mexico to send military into the area without our complete consent??

also Christopher, Georgia invaded their OWN territory.. it's not recognized by the international committee NOR russia NOR georgia as being a part of Putin's twisted land.

Oh yes just like the good old days, the smell of napalm in the morning, the sight of B-52's flying over and the sounds of battle wagons preparing for battle. Welcome back Commie's, we have missed you.

No, it's not great at all. I wish Russia would get out of Georgia and the Sleeping Giant would take a long nap.

i'm glad that everyone seems to have already added another tally on the counter of things to be afraid of. we didn't have enough stuff keeping us all scared and funneling money down the DOD chute!

Source(s): russian military official on NPR: "If the US can take Baghdad, then we can take Tbilisi."
