Does anyone have a mooncake recipe?

I found some but I am in USA and don't know where to get Lotus seed paste or red bean paste...There are recipes for red bean paste but I don't know an equivalent bean to the azuki beans. Can you use a different bean?

You can go to the local organic Japanese food store they have them there.

    They are Cheap.

Just like if you went to walmart and bought a bag of beans.

    No more then 3$.

    Good luck! Hope i helped!

No... I do not think that I would ever prepare mooncake myself, here we have too many choices, ice-cream mooncake, chocolate mooncake, traditional lotus seed paste + egg yolk mooncake, coffee mooncake (Starburk's) ... and I had enough for Moon festival (last Friday) .. may be I would change my mind in 2007 fall!
