Has anyone ever used Comfort Zone Feliway?
Has anyone ever tried Comfort Zone Feliway for a cat exhibiting stress behaviors? Did it work? Does it have a smell that humans can detect? I have an 8 y/o female cat who pulls out her hair as a stress behavior I'm considering trying the Feliway to help her. Have you found anything else that helps your anxious cat calm down?

If you have had her checked out by a vet for any physical cause for her behavior then I would suggest you try flower essences. You can go to: http://www.spiritessence.com/ and learn something about them and their uses. Obsession Remedy might be a good choice - it contains essences for stress as well as others that might be pertinent to her situation.
Any essences in Dr. Hovfe's combination that aren't pertinent to your cat's situation are just not utilized and her combination cover a lot of bases. A bottle is about $22 shipped to you from CO and about half the price of Feliway.
You shake the bottle well and put a few drops on the fur between your cat's ears. Do it four to five times a day for about ten days. If the situation improves you can cut down to twice a day (AM and PM) after that.
Source(s): I have used that remedy with my Sylvie who is a compulsive groomer and it was very effective. I have used it with her for a couple of years. When she reverts to the obsessive grooming I start re-applying it for a week or so. - 1 decade ago
I used Comfort Zone and I found it to be successful. I used it when I got new kittens, because my first cat was having problems adjusting. She had a nasty habit of peeing on my bed!! Anyway, I used the plug in and the spray and they definitely helped my cat.
