How can anyone seriously support a party candidate who was not chosen by the party members?
When you add up the votes, Hillary Clinton was the Democratic Party Candidate. Howard Dean saw to it that Barack Obama became the Candidate... by discounting MI and FL in the Primary. How is this the Democratic way? Would you all be voting for him if he'd declared himself the candidate? I'd love to know how you all justify this?

I personally think both major parties should be dissolved. There is too much lying, corruption and money in both parties. They have risen to the ranks of criminal enterprises.
Michigan and Florida got themselves left out - they were warned and chose to ignore it. The parties DO make the rules for primaries.
Between the media and the party, Obama has continued to slide, regardless of what he says. He is a real joke - I just hope the joke doesn't turn on us!

MI and FL were discounted before they ever voted because they refused to play by the rules that they agreed to and run their primaries on the agreed upon time table. If I ignore the rules of a baseball game and run the bases without hitting the ball, should that count as a run?
Furthermore, Hillary broke the rules by campaigning in those states after all Democratic candidates agreed not to. If I further break the rules by grabbing the baseball and tagging three people in the opposing teams dugout, should that count as 3 outs to end an inning?
If you break the rules, no one is going to let you play the game. It is true in life and political campaigns. Deal with it.

If you want to carry the answer one step further, Obama was nominated by the news media, not the people. Hillary lost because the media, influenced by Howard Dean and others, chose him over her. The same is happening now in the general election. This is a proposition on which both Republicans and Democrats should agree. Everyone is being cheated - Republicans and Democrats.

While I can't stand Obama even more that Hillary, I don't see how this one applies. Michigan and Florida disobeyed party rules and moved their nominating events. By law nominating rules are set by the parties and the state parties have to obey the rules. Therefore, Obama did actually win.
In the end, we just need to make sure the McCain wins next Tuesday.

I voted Hillary in the primary, and am proud to say I will vote McCain in the on the 4th! To answer your question more thoroughly, if anyone can vote for someone Howard Dean supports, they deserve what they get, which will not be good.

Michigan and Florida broke the rules. Hillary broke the rules by putting her name on the ballot in Michigan and campaigning in Florida.
She only lead when you add up those votes because Obama wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan.
Quit crying...the primary is over and Clinton is campaigning and supporting Obama.

You claim to respect people with an open mind! Yet each of your questions are aimed at debunking the democratic nominee. Obama is the one who should win the presidency. You just want to throw gasoline on fire.

Howard Dean didn't do that. Those states broke the rules and payed the price. That is their fault, not anyone else's. If you let them get away with it, the next election would be a circus because more states would try to pull that stunt.

You're republican right.......
Did you forget that Hillary also discounted those states. In fact, every democratic primary candidate signed and agreement that Mich and Flord. would not have their delegate counted or seated. They are all equal in that charge and therefore none can assume a superior advantage.
You see Democrats believe in making our politicians responsible for their actions......get the hint.
Oh and talk about selection noT elected - GEORGE W. BUSH

I could not. Obama was selected, not elected.
It is not the Democratic way, anymore than not allowing the military votes to count, like they are doing right now. This sounds more like Communism.
No, there is no way I am voting for a Marxist, like Obama...redistributing wealth, etc.
