my kitty is so mean to my dog?
i adopted a thre year old kitty a month ago and she goes out of her way to be mean to my dog all the time. even when the dog is ignoring her or sleepng the cat will walk on top of her and hiss at her. she keeps hissing and being mean. i wish she would just be nice, how can i make her stop being so mean. i tell her no!

The best you can do is get a squirt bottle and squirt her when she does this. It won't change the fact that she doesn't like your dog but it may help her to tolerate it. Some cats take longer than others to adjust. Don't go crazy with the squirt bottle either. When I got a new kitten mine went nuts and hated it for at least three weeks. One day she just got used to it and now they actually like each other.
Since your cat is so old I don't see her changing her mind about dogs no matter how nice yours is. You never know though.

never hit her or strike her! Thats the main thing! it is cruel etc. etc. (not saying you do that but just sating!)
take a squirt bottle and squirt some water at her. If she likes water then you could tap her nose, noone likes that (don't do it hard, or it could hurt them)
